This is carryover from the last thread, but to me the Dolphins actions resemble a team where the new head coach wants to establish that it's his way or the highway. Not a team that's intentionally tanking for better draft picks. The Dolphins have a Top 10 pick at quarterback on their roster. He's currently on the bench behind a garbage journeyman.

After watching the Dolphins line this Sunday I think playing Rosen sparingly is probably the right move. In fact put him 3rd string so he doesn't get a career threatening injury.

You can't really even evaluate a QB on the Dolphins roster right now. Their line can't stop anyone and their receivers can't catch.

I wonder if sometimes teams should just stick with a coach who is struggling. Maybe it takes 2-3 years to learn how to become a head coach.

the nfl's generation of bad, hard-to-watch young qbs such as pat mahomes, deshaun watson, lamar jackson, jacoby brissett, and hell even gardner minshew

At the end of last year it seemed like most teams had some kind of answer to their QB dilemma, to the point that there wasn't even much of a trade market for Josh Rosen. But here we are two weeks in and it turns out...

- Brees, Luck, Ben, Foles and Darnold are gone for the entire season or chunks of it
- Trubisky, Winston, and Newton are not playing nearly as well as was hoped.

That's a big part of the league that now has to rethink their QB situation.

Pretty disingenuous from Breer (though very predictable) because Bill spent the first ~2 minutes of his press conference addressing AB, saying that there were things the team is looking into, and that he wouldn't be answering any further questions. And even after that, he entertained at least two separate questions about how the Patriots are handling AB's preparations for Sunday's game in relation to these new accusations. Everyone got significantly more from Bill than we did last time and even confirmed that the team is investigating these latest accusations internally. not sure what people were expecting here

ESPN Boston reports Antonio Brown is unlikely to get any of his $9 million signing bonus from the Patriots.
The Patriots plan to use the "representation warranty clause" to void Brown's signing bonus. Brown didn't disclose he was dealing with an off-field situation before signing with New England, which they view as a breach of contract. The NFLPA could file a grievance, but it sounds like Brown may only end up with his $1 million salary, two game checks ($125K), and a $33,333 roster bonus. Since Brown was released after June 1, any money the Patriots owe can be spread out over the next two years.
