Hell if was in charge of the line I would embrace the gonzo, granted if I was in charge of the then WOD will slowly morph into something resembling battle anime setting so who knows.

You know all this talk about "street level" makes me want to see how a WOD game set in project moon's city, it's pretty easy to do a "street level" games if the world beyond said (back)streets are monster filled wastelands. Edit: also from what little we've seen "street level" in the city has different connections from new ww definition of the term since street level in the city means you can become captain America by visiting your local Tattoo palor, augmentation is so common that not having them marks you as extremely gifted or an idiot and bizarre poo poo happens frequently enough that most people just dismiss it as some piece of one off tech and move on. Maybe the writers has an easer time writing the garou since they so familiar, maybe some c-suit got it into they minds that since the company is named white wolf then they should focuse on the werewolves and finally since the werewolves have five forms then they can easly sell five times the figures for they inevitable table top wargame.

Hell I know of a poster on SpaceBattles who have some fascinating insights on Garou politics. Like part of a post on how the Fennia is divided is an amusing anecdote on how the British branch of Fennia want to change the tribes name since the name is an Irish hero, they came up with Wolves of the Round Table. It was quickly rejected. Edit: hell if you really despite then you can then could have Matt Ward write W5 would have opposite problem...
