I could be wrong but I think most of the Chicago filming was just for the crossover and the pilot so expect it to look less Chicago and more CW Vancoucer as the season goes on, outside of transitional master shots.

Quick hop over to reddit post-show discussion shows a lot the more people upvoting "wow so good and emotional!" while down in the discussion a few people are decrying the drawn out Alice arc. At a glance it appears the discussion level is about half of what The Flash gets, so take that for what's it worth.
