Yet apparently none of forced the issue through the heads of the politicians in US, UK, Italy, Brazil, and mostly don't even seem to have done their own preparations.

You'd have thought conspiracy theorists would be happy with the actual conspiracy to pretend covid is over. Maybe we should try and convince them the covid virus isn't real and it's actually a cover up for antibiotic-resistant pneumococcus bacteria? They're can't stop it so they're hiding it so as not to scare the public; the only way to protect yourself is hand washing, masks, and avoiding other people.

If the only criteria for lockdown was running out of ICU capacity, hospitals would save more lives by reducing ICU beds to keep them constantly overwhelmed and force a lockdown now instead of waiting for more cases. Must be great for the medics to know that by working so hard and risking their lives they're contributing to the problem, because people are dumb.
