Pence had to do better, he had a chance to turn it around and he didn’t. What new attacks, what new angles did he hit them on? He just spewed lame Fox News taking points. I don’t see poll numbers moving from his lack of performance or answer dodging. But also no one cares about the VP debate.

Abandoned Toaster posted:I came in late but it was clear they both stuck to their talking points and would dodge questions. Pence dodged more than Harris and had more blatant bullshit which she never seemed to call out, but he interrupted her more and cut into the overall time and the moderator was too spineless to shut him down and Harris kept demanding to be giving equal time as a result. I feel like the Debate Commission should take Arnie up on his offer. The VP Debate just reconfirms this belief. https://twitter.com/Schwarzenegger/status/1311370272843333632

Pakistani Brad Pitt posted:They were both 100% unequivocally in support of Fracking, what a blast! It’s a stupid question. Biden wants to end any public permits for fracking and so can do so via EO to the Bureau of Land Management. Most fracking is on private land and so can’t really be banned by executive order.

The Artificial Kid posted:There's a difference between saying you won't ban fracking, and going all in on fracking. Committing to banning fracking will alienate people who have been poisoned with the idea that their financial future depends on industries like fracking. But making renewable energy a superior alternative to fossil fuels will have the same impact while creating new industries and new jobs, and is more electorally palatable. That is something you have to do and not talk about. No one is going to believe in clean energy jobs until they seem them. Rural PA won’t buy anything about clean energy jobs until they are working in them.
