Enjoyed both episodes so far. I think they nailed the aesthetic in those and I'm interested how this all plays out.

Am disappointed by the run time. Was really hoping for longer. drat Disney+ having 10minutes of end credits to give false hope

Yeah, the episode to credits ratio is a bit off. I guess that's an advantage of streaming, since they wouldn't put that into a TV time slot..

I looked up the actor earlier, beekeeper guy is credited to a stunt guy who's been on a bunch of MCU movies and shows.

Makes sense. Spoiling the plot with a cast list isn't worth it. Also I guess whoever would actually play that guy would demand quite a bit more money for that one minute performance. By the way, are those bees real? If yes, that would be another good reason to use a stuntman.

All the Marvel shows that have been announced are supposed to have these ridiculous budgets.

Since it wil probably be more grounded, I'd imagine Hawkeye is a bit cheaper to make. Unless Steinfeld really didn't want to have this role and Disney just gave her 20 mil per episode to settle the matter, I can't imagine a show about two archers and their dog goofing around, fighting mundane crime would cost anything in the same league as a story of a reality altering witch, which forces a town through sitcom hell.

It's just kind of a weird blip (:v:) for Wanda to be with her boys in one moment, outside of Westfiew in the next moment, and then back looking for the dog as if she hadn't actually gone anywhere. Which would make sense if she hadn't gone anywhere and the Wanda we saw outside the Hex (:allears:) was in fact just a different person.

The speech she gave to the twins, about how you can't reverse death, also doesn't really square with her mindset of just using her powers to do whatever she wants.

Also, Wanda seemed to acknowledge that was in fact controlling everything when speaking to SWORD, but later seemed to suggest to Vision that she's not truly the one in control here. (This point relies on trusting that she's being truthful to Vision, though, which is dubious) (All the same though, I think we can believe she's genuinely surprised to see "Pietro" and that his return was outside of her control)

It would also explain why Wanda even knew Vision was being kept with SWORD in the first place.

Nah, seems unlikely. You're arguing that the woman hanging out with the kids and who had red eyes in the black and white image of that drone camera, is a different person than the one which brought the drone out a few minutes later. I can't see that happening. Wanda may not be in control, but that's more on a mental emotional level. She probably just told the boys something like "Mommy will be right back and we'll look for the dog."

Come on Marvel, give me Toni Ho. She even hung out with Monica in her latest comics iteration. Wanda and her can bond over having their fathers killed by Stark weaponry. Also she even tinkered around on Vision at some point.
I don't care that her dad was under the impression that his whole family was already dead in Iron Man. Who even remembers what happened in the first hour of the MCU?
It's really unlikely to happen, but assuming you'd want to introduce her, this would be the best chance to do so.

To be fair to MCU writers on Hawkeye, the comics never seem sure of who Hawkeye is either. Sometimes he is a drunk loser whose only skill is archery. Sometimes he is dark brooding batman with a bow and or sword. Sometimes he's the cockiest bastard in the world, shooting down iron man with a well placed arrow into critical components. Sometimes he is comedy relief 'wow I'm so out of my depth with all these superhumans'.

It's not surprising the MCU kinds floundered with finding his role and a consistent tone for his character.

I really liked Hawkeye Freefall, were he somehow was all of those at the same time, while making it work. That comic also had one of the weirdest secret identity shenanigans.

I think his best characterization is if he wants to do good, but keeps ending up way out of his league and has to bridge the gap with lateral thinking. Since all of the MCU stuff he was in was basically team efforts, he didn't really have a chance to shine in that way.
