Digital Jedi posted:Enjoyed both episodes so far. I think they nailed the aesthetic in those and I'm interested how this all plays out. Yeah, the episode to credits ratio is a bit off. I guess that's an advantage of streaming, since they wouldn't put that into a TV time slot..

Also I guess whoever would actually play that guy would demand quite a bit more money for that one minute performance. By the way, are those bees real? If yes, that would be another good reason to use a stuntman.

Unless Steinfeld really didn't want to have this role and Disney just gave her 20 mil per episode to settle the matter, I can't imagine a show about two archers and their dog goofing around, fighting mundane crime would cost anything in the same league as a story of a reality altering witch, which forces a town through sitcom hell. cant cook creole bream fucked around with this message at 23:59 on Jan 31, 2021 |

BrianWilly posted:It's just kind of a weird blip () for Wanda to be with her boys in one moment, outside of Westfiew in the next moment, and then back looking for the dog as if she hadn't actually gone anywhere. Which would make sense if she hadn't gone anywhere and the Wanda we saw outside the Hex () was in fact just a different person. Nah, seems unlikely. You're arguing that the woman hanging out with the kids and who had red eyes in the black and white image of that drone camera, is a different person than the one which brought the drone out a few minutes later. I can't see that happening. Wanda may not be in control, but that's more on a mental emotional level. She probably just told the boys something like "Mommy will be right back and we'll look for the dog."

Wanda and her can bond over having their fathers killed by Stark weaponry. Also she even tinkered around on Vision at some point. I don't care that her dad was under the impression that his whole family was already dead in Iron Man. Who even remembers what happened in the first hour of the MCU? It's really unlikely to happen, but assuming you'd want to introduce her, this would be the best chance to do so. I just want to have the cool purple-haired science genius in MCU.

Seemingly well intentioned but hints of malice through the season then acts of comical villainy in the final episode so you know they were the big bad (all alooong). Felt just as clumsy. Also everything to do with the episode with the serum doctor makes no sense in retrospect, especially when you remember all the threatening texts sent to Karli from who we now know is Sharon I just realize that WV can stand for WandVision or for Westview.

KittyEmpress posted:To be fair to MCU writers on Hawkeye, the comics never seem sure of who Hawkeye is either. Sometimes he is a drunk loser whose only skill is archery. Sometimes he is dark brooding batman with a bow and or sword. Sometimes he's the cockiest bastard in the world, shooting down iron man with a well placed arrow into critical components. Sometimes he is comedy relief 'wow I'm so out of my depth with all these superhumans'. I really liked Hawkeye Freefall, were he somehow was all of those at the same time, while making it work. That comic also had one of the weirdest secret identity shenanigans. I think his best characterization is if he wants to do good, but keeps ending up way out of his league and has to bridge the gap with lateral thinking. Since all of the MCU stuff he was in was basically team efforts, he didn't really have a chance to shine in that way.
