Have you tried scrolling down? Sometimes the text box doesn't do it automatically and ends up hiding the dialogue options.

Not sure if this has been discussed already but I recently watched the documentary Struggle on Netflix, about Polish sculptor Stanislaw Szukalski (1893-1987). He was quite a character to say the least. His politics were hard to figure out but my take from the doco was that he veered from anti-imperialist to nationalist/fascist and back again over his life. Posting about it here because I suspect his work may have been part of the inspiration behind some of the art in Disco Elysium, in particular the art for Authority:

Thinking about it as I post this, he might have been part of the inspiration for Harry too with his contradictory and rather incoherent politics. Definitely an interesting watch.

There are a lot of things I will do in this game but I will never be mean to sweet, precious Kimothy.

Even a fascist, racist piece of poo poo should be nice to Kimball, because all that fascism and racism is meant for the faceless, nebulous "others". Not my friend though, he's "one of the good ones".

I was 4/5/1/2 and I tried being a Communard but I don't think I ever saw any XP bonuses pop up because the Thought for it said +4XP from appropriate dialog choices but I only ever saw XP come in either 5 or 10 point increments. The thought which gives you 10XP from Conceptualization passes really made the XP flow like crazy - are there any like that for other tests?

Wompty-Dompty-Dom Center is extremely good, it gives +10 XP and +2 real for encyclopedia passives. Unfortunately the soonest you can get it is day 3, when you no longer have to pay rent.
Actual Art Degree gives +10 XP and heals morale for conceptualization passives.
Jamais Vu gives +1 XP every time you click on a thought bubble.

Those are the three big ones if you want a ton of XP early on.

Finishing up my final cut playthrough, and I realized that I have a problem with hoarding skill points. I basically beelined all the good +xp thoughts and then never used any points unless I wanted to add a thought or unlock a failed check. So I think I'm gonna try a playthrough where I spend them as I get them.

I wonder if it would be more interesting if there was a cap on the amount of skill points you could hold on to?

PROBLEM

A few days ago you made an irritated radio call in response to one of the latest happenings on the increasingly heated *culture war* front. In response to the decision of an actress (actor) named Ellen (Elliot) Page. You are employing this awkward and impossible naming style because it is now apparently mandatory and you're probably doing it wrong. Nonetheless, as *you're doing it wrong* is the whole point of what has been made mandatory. But also, you're trying to make a point. You've essentially been banned from Speedfreaks.FM as a consequence. You say *banned* although technically you've been *suspended*. But the suspension will not be lifted unless you retract the hateful statement in question, and you would rather die than do that. And hopefully it will not come to that, although who the hell knows in these increasingly strange days.

SOLUTION

Up yours, woke moralists! We'll see who cancels who!

Yeah unfortunately some white checks that are unresolved but also become unavailable will stay on your map forever. Like if you open up the trash dumpster with Garte's key, the check for forcing it open with the prybar will still be there.

I just beat the game for the first time and I feel like maybe I’m too dumb for it. I didn’t follow some of the political stuff and the ending felt weirdly abrupt and forced. I also feel like I probably missed a ton.

Overall, it was worth playing just for Cuno. Maybe one of my favorite characters in any game.

I mostly picked the “boring” choices and didn’t drink or do drugs - how different is it if you pick a lot of the crazier stuff?

What kind of stats did you go for? If you went with mainly INT skills like I did on my first time, it can be pretty boring. PSY and FYS (specifically Inland Empire and Shivers) gives you a lot of the cool weird stuff.
