i feel like i live in a fairly chuddy place, but I don't know a single person that has even gotten covid let alone died from it. I also don't know anyone that isn't vaxxed as of a few months ago when my friends idiot wife finally decided it was safe to get it even though she was pregnant *eyeroll* come on lady that is like one of the few ways to give the baby antibodies at birth right now loving hell. I guess my friend group is fairly small (~10 people) and my company has been having us all work from home for over a year now so many that is isolating me from the nutters. I have not talked to extended family in years but that's not abnormal for us.

Got my yearly physical this week. I got my flu shot. Nurse said wait 14 days before the COVID booster my doctor said I should get... CDC says don't worry worry about it. I was able to sign up for 3rd Pfizer legally through dillons here.. also Kroger and several other names around the country. I filled it out online. First question was are you immunocompromised. I marked it no. Then it popped up a second box asking if you're at risk "view CDC guidelines" Marked that yes, gave then my insurance info, doctor info, and when I had been vaxxed previously and what not. Doctor said I wasn't really at a huge risk but get one because fat. And he said I really really don't want to get it. That fits the CDC guidelines. I'm getting my third Booster at Dillons in 10 days. ... Walgreens refused to boost me if I wasn't immunocompromised and I had to tell them I was and sign a form? Uhh okay. They are literally across the street from each other. I said I had a flu shot this week and they said no problem. gently caress Walgreens I guess? my sister got her third pfizer shot at the old downtown library through the city.... kansas... maybe 400k ppl in the actual city? no questions just sign up, get shot. That's where I got my first two, i just assumed it was like an emergency thing so I didn't even think to look. I got mine at the local Dillion's Pharmacy (Kroger many places) and i just filled out a form online it was easy. No questions were asked when I showed up. Took a lot longer because the pharmacy had like 5 people in line ahead of me for medicine and they had the same line for refills and vaccines ? whatever. Anyway. Sunday 3:45 pm... at 9 pm my whole upper arm got a little sore... it wasn't the needle there was no bruising and not even any blood on the bandaid. Felt like my brother punched me in the arm twice when we were kids, no big deal. around midnight it was hurting down to my elbow and hurt to move the arm but not to lay on it.. i decided not to lay on it and went to sleep. Woke up in 4 am because my sheet were damp from a little sweat and very mild fever. It was gone 2 to 3 hours later and I went to sleep again. Arm was sore when I got up but didn't hurt to move around and the fever was gone. My finger joints were grumpy for a few hours the day after, as was my shoulder where I have arthritis. ~20 hours after dose it was all gone. i just looked up the drug and its for OCD?....calling it an anti-depresent when it's literally just an SSRI family member seems disengous. No one is proscribed this if they are depressed or anxious which is majority of SSRIs (and anti-depresents......) are they suggesting OCD medication for the general populace? side effects whatever? is it possible that people with OCD take care to wash hands, wear masks, not leave the house? I'm not sure this proves anything and its not just another of the tens of SSRIs they use to treat people with anxiety or depression, its one approved for a very specific cause...
