fwiw i don't like seeing the r-word itself and it detracts from my enjoyment of threads but when it's safely abstracted into an edgeless short form like "r-word" it can contribute to a light comedic tone and shouldnt be punished but thats just imo

its a shame christians seem to mostly believe god is totally omnipotent and benevolent cause if you assume he's a flawed figure a lot of the stories in the bible can be really powerful. like you can read Jesus' life as the attempts of a god who is so far removed from humanity they're out of touch to understand humans that in turn leads to a more holistic and compassionate comprehension of temptation, suffering, doubt, and the fleeting nature of life. if he's always been perfect there's nothing for him to learn there. only tangentially related but i think about it a lot.
