saw a single car crash yesterday on the road that connects my neighborhood to the rest of the world. it's a narrow road, no shoulder, 35 mph limit, no passing, and is 0.75 miles long in total. lots of hills so visibility is poor. I have been passed on this road by pickups going 60 before.

in this case it was a BMW that careened into a telephone phone and smashed off the left half of the front of the car. dude was definitely going way too fast. there was a tow truck and not an ambulance so he was fine. what a loving dumbass hope his insurance skyrockets.

This is always my hope when I see truly psychotic behavior and it's nice to get confirmation that there's a non-zero chance

Citing people for speeding and driving unsafely and violating parking laws is pretty much the best use case if we have to have cops and it's the only thing they should be allowed to do. A couple months back, we drove out to visit a friend who lives in the middle of nowhere. It was night, pitch dark because middle of nowhere, road conditions were terrible, rain wind and fog, and we were on a twisty 2 lane road with a 40 mph speed limit. I was going the speed limit and some rear end in a top hat rode on my rear end for a couple miles before roaring past in his big stupid loving truck in the oncoming lane. I sincerely hope that stupid piece of poo poo flies off the road someday and wraps that truck around a tree, but he'll probably just end up pasting a kid or two and getting off with no prosecution because it was just a "tragic accident"

What I love about that is that cops will aggro realistically, so if someone tries to go around you and hits a cop car, the police will ram them off the road and open fire. Even if you're not causing it, you'll still see plenty of chaos in the game, and tbh it's far funnier that way.

On the one hand, you'd think this has to be a troll. On the other hand, that is apparently a real place. And that does appear to be the name of the owner.

It's just so loving on the nose.

On top of all that it's a terrible and dangerous spot for street parking due to area traffic patterns and the congestion there.

they're usually contracted out to private companies who start loving with the light timers to shorten yellows and make people try to run poo poo more
people also start to jam on their brakes when they have plenty of time and people right behind them or are in snow/rain and slide out into the intersection

Feels like people could solve these problems by simply coming to a stop rather than try to unsafely speed through an intersection to "beat the yellow"
