There was another random chat(not the FF) I went on and I found some woman who had a website where she chronicled all the creeps who hit on her in chats. This was right after the Ravens won the Superbowl. So I had an idea to make a new account and I pretended to be Ray Lewis trying to hit on her. Just so she would make an entry talking about Ray Lewis and the Ravens that I could read. It worked!! She made it and even had Ray Lewis' mugshot on it and everything. It was like "Guess what?? Ray Lewis from the Baltimore Ravens tried to contact me today!" She knew it wasn't him. But I got the Ravens out there even more.

You know what's funny is just the other day I was trying to remember what other anecdote I told alongside the Vinceroth one. Thanks!!

I had an annoying birding experience today. I stopped at a place on the breshad perriman peninsula in this little wooded lot and played a screech owl+chickadee clip to try to draw in some warblers since I was hearing some call notes. So I did that and a bunch of cyclists came by and stopped and were like "is that real??" and i was like "no it's a recording i'm using to draw down some smaller birds". And the lead cyclist was like "Oh I don't know if that's a good idea. That owl's gonna hear that thinking he found a nice owl girlfriend and then see it's a fuckin radio and he's gonna be PISSED. You're doing bird porn here. Like playboy magazine. Or playBIRD magazine!!!" They said more than that and it went on for like a few uncomfortable minutes. I felt so embarrassed for them. This guy thought it was some hilarious bit he was on. I guess his buddies thought it was funny. But I didn't like it.

I did not say breshad perriman.

Yeah you had a white-breasted nuthatch if you're near detroit this time of year. Outside of the breeding season you might see Red-breasted nuthatches depending on the year. Or maybe every winter there I'm not sure. Around here in MD we have Brown-headed nuthatches also but only further south and east in the state. In Baltimore where I live they're a "Review Species". But if you go to Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center right across the Bay Bridge you can find a ton of em. They like the loblolly pines.

We had another Spoonbill in Baltimore. So it's gone from being no Spoonbills ever in Baltimore to two in the same year.

Larry Webster getting suspended before the 2000 season pushed the Ravens harder to sign Sam Adams which set us up to have the best run defense of all time. Naturally everyone focuses on the Ray Lewis situation that offseason so because of that the Larry Webster development is rarely looked at. Adams thought for sure for a while he was going to Green Bay.

Matt Stover is remembered as a legendary kicker for us but before the 2000 season he was considered pretty bad. We even brought in Joe Nedney to compete with him at one point. But he got himself together.

I always liked Rob Burnett. He should have made the pro bowl in that 2000 season. He had a great play in week 1 that year where the Steelers tried some reverse and he read it perfectly and dumped Troy Edwards way in the backfield. Then a few weeks later he annihilated Akili Smith.

Redman was not bad.

After 2003 his back forced him out of football. He was gone for four years. But was able to come back at the age of 30 to be a backup on the Atlanta Falcons where he stayed for the rest of his career. If he was bad at football he never would have been able to do that. It's very rare to see guys be gone for that long and be able to just come back. Maybe some sort of megastar could do it but a regular guy like Redman you just don't see that.

Who was the Tom Brady we missed on with Mcsorley?

We picked Redman in the third round of the 2000 draft. Before his senior season at Louisville Redman was looking to be a first round pick but he had a bad year and dropped to the third round where we grabbed him. In 2002 after Grbac retired we made him our starter but partway through the year he just couldn't go anymore due to his back which I guess we already knew about so we had Jeff Blake. And then he started. Blake was alright.

So we can't have missed Brady due to Redman because Brady was a lower pick in the draft and Redman was a higher one at the time. They're too far away to really be compared. That's like saying that everyone who picked a TE before Shannon Sharpe in the 7th round missed him. But it's not that simple. To me you need to be right near where the guy was projected to be drafted to miss him. Like the Ravens did in fact pick Patrick Johnson instead of Hines Ward. So we did mess that up.

It's an old used canon sx60 with 65x zoom. That's what a lot of the birders around here use. You need one like that for birding you can't just use anything. It's not anything fancy for pro pics or anything it's just to get pics of stuff like Empids that can be tricky to get accepted with a definition. reminds me that I saw some etsy crap recently that was like 'best ravens plays' coasters or something. they had jacoby jones in denver, uhh i think jacoby jones td catch in the superbowl, lamar jackson's run against the bengals and i think stokley's td catch in the superbowl. the snowbowl is way down there in terms of importance even though it's totally unforgettable, a nice little consolation prize in what otherwise was a pretty bad season. but it was the post superbowl season so it was all fine

of the four the stokley one kinda stands out. i get needing something from the superbowl, but i think i'd rather have the ray lewis eddie george interception to represent that season. or the torrey smith td against the steelers.

Oh man the Shannon Sharpe catch against Jacksonville and also the Anthony Mitchell FG return from 2000 gotta be up there. I agree the snow bowl shouldnt be. Kinda up there with the Will Hill and McAlister FG returns as awesome and unforgettable plays but of little true importance.

Im not sure Id even include the stokley reception cause I think we likely win the game even without it with the day Collins had. They pretty much beat themselves on offense that day they were so bad.

The sharpe catch against Oakland is bigger than any of the SB plays because I think we likely lose that game without it, gannon injury or no.

There's no point to all these late round draft picks DeCosta acquires. You don't need excess 4th and beyond picks. You want them there yes. But you don't need a million of them. You can only keep 53 guys. So you can have 15 fourth round picks and it's not gonna do you much good.

I don't think he's worth that no. I'm specifically talking about if he plays well and stays healthy around the trade deadline. Then yes I think a team would give up more than he's worth due to need.
