Good News, Everyone! Because the Simpsons cancellation phylactery is running low, here's 20 more Futurama episodes on Hulu to provide you another Series Finale and maybe several more Fry's dogs. It looks like they are getting a similar deal to Animaniacs, where it's split into two ten episode halves.

Everyone is back, except that precocious little scamp, John DiMaggio. There is a comment going around that it's just not a done deal at the time of the press release, but he's retweeting people who won't watch this revival if his roles are recast. They probably will watch anyway.

So quote, complain and remember the time twenty years ago when a football game preempted a show Fox had to air because they owed Matt Groening.

I don't remember; they played brinkmanship with Harry Shearer on the Simpsons, and there were several episodes where none of his characters had lines while "looking to recast" those voices.

My Three Suns always felt like a clunky episode to me, but you could write that off as a first season misfire.

She was prime fodder for shows like Entertainment Tonight and Access Hollywood, tabloid shows that love to play the "freaks done good" angle. Simon Cowell et. al. probably had a hand in making sure she was known on this side of the pond. At the same time, it was much easier to miss back then if you stayed online and off TV.

Yup, this is a Futurama revival episode. I'm curious how much they could or couldn't say about working the writers room to death.

Why doesn't John Goodman come back to voice Santa? He's doing voice overs for "free" casino app commercials for a year or two, I can't imagine taking directions of "Turn Santa into Cookie Monster" is heavy lifting.

I'm trying to think if the writer's room could have used more bodies (which hopefully gets better after the WGA strike ends) or if they're showing their age like on The Simpsons. I liked tonight's episode but I feel like this whole season could have used some polish.
