My prediction is that at some point, Putin and all the other oligarchs are going to meet up in the same place to figure out what to do next, with the exception of one plucky, but underestimated oligarch who's been left behind in a secure bunker. Things get crazy, and the protagonist oligarch is the only one left standing and has to put Russia back on course.

I've figured out the one weird trick that Ukraine can use to win the war. They, paradoxically, need to invade Poland. Just a few tanks will be sufficient, along with a big announcement that they're doing it and intend to push west all the way to the Iberian peninsula because nobody will stop them. This will require NATO to invade Ukraine. Then afterwards, Zelenskyy can say he's really sorry and won't do it again, and that he's even willing to let NATO station troops in Ukraine indefinitely just to make sure he doesn't get any bright ideas in the future.

Tree Bucket posted:What are the chances Russia's nukes are in as good condition as the rest of their gear? How many colonels have quietly diverted their share of the silo maintenence fund into their own strategic booze aquisition program? Better question: What are the chances that they've already tried to launch a tactical nuke, and they looked into why nothing fired, it turned out that the silo was just full of old pinball machine parts.
