Please forgive my combo-breaking the theme of the day with a bit of shameless cross-posting from the [AI Dumpsterfire] Sad Halloween and Spooky AI Prompts ITT thread over in The Haunted Clubhouse forum, but honestly it's a bit dead over there (no pun intended) and it would be great if some of you creative folks could stop by and show us what the pros can do!

PaleFigure posted:

A fire elemental and an earth elemental ask a water elemental and air elemental to dance at the Halloween party. It focused almost entirely on the fire and water aspect, but the art is just too charming!

A Minotaur, a Satyr, and a Faun playing rock music at a big fun Halloween party. It's basically just a minotaur and two satyrs but close enough.

A Taniwha from New Zealand and a Bunyip from Australia go to visit the Loch Ness Monster. Never have three different nations' water-based cryptids looked so drat cuddly!!!

High above a sleeping city, a terrifying creature flies with huge spiky wings. It nailed the assignment, no notes.

Werewolves are throwing a Halloween party for Weretigers and Werecrocodiles. I wanted to see how it handled less common werebeast variants. Results varied, but this was it's best effort.

The King of the Werewolves howls at the full moon. Most successful of everything I tried. Absolutely love these.

And a few one-off honourable mentions:

A faun and a satyr having an epic pan-pipe battle. A better attempt at a faun than before, the wings are an interesting twist though.

A group of monsters are traveling home in a train. Man, that daily commute is really taking it out of Sully there!

A Minotaur asks a Satyr to Dance at the Halloween party. Aww, what a cute couple! Another example where it created something with genuine charm.

All the reptilian monsters are shocked that someone has brought a furry monster to the Halloween party. This Halloween, Jim Henson proudly presents...

An old sailing ship in a storm with giant tentacles rising from the sea around it. Man, this new HD remake of Return of the Obra Dinn is looking fly as hell!

All the werewolves laugh at the man who turned into a werehamster! My favourite part of this one is unshifted bro bottom centre. Finally, Moon-Moon knows he will not be the lamest in the pack anymore!

I am legitimately baffled by what causes Bing to dog an image or not. It clearly isn't just the words used in the prompt, because re-submitting the same prompt can produce a combo of generated and dogged results. I understand they have to have *some* protections in place since this is a free, publicly accessible tool, but I wish it wasn't quite so obtuse, or seemingly just plain *random*.

It's especially frustrating when it seems to break it's own rules and produce something borderline violent or adult from a perfectly normal prompt. Case in point; I gave it the prompt "A pair of satyrs dance amongst falling autumn leaves", and on multiple iterations it gave me (admittedly tasteful) goat-girl boobs.

And if you fall I'll pick you up, pick you up."

In another experiment, I tried using pieces of this excerpt from House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski

quote:

To get a better idea try this: focus on these words, and whatever you do don’t let your eyes wander past the perimeter of this page. Now imagine just beyond your peripheral vision, maybe behind you, maybe to the side of you, maybe even in front of you, but right where you can’t see it, something is quietly closing in on you, so quiet in fact you can only hear it as silence. Find those pockets without sound. That’s where it is. Right at this moment. But don’t look. Keep your eyes here. Now take a deep breath. Go ahead and take an even deeper one. Only this time as you start to exhale try to imagine how fast it will happen, how hard it’s gonna hit you, how many times it will stab your jugular with its teeth or are they nails?, don’t worry, that particular detail doesn’t matter, because before you have time to even process that you should be moving, you should be running, you should at the very least be flinging up your arms – you sure as hell should be getting rid of this book – you won’t even have time to scream.
Don’t look.
I didn’t.
Of course I looked. I looked so loving fast I should of ended up wearing one of those neck braces for whiplash.
My hands had gone all clammy. My face was burning up. Who knows how much adrenaline had just been dumped into my system. Before I turned, it felt exactly as if in fact I had turned and at that instant caught sight of some tremendous beast crouched off in the shadows, muscles a twitch from firing its great mass forward, ragged claws slowly extending, digging into the linoleum, even as its eyes are dilating, beyond the point of reason, completely obliterating the iris, and by that widening fire, the glowing furnace of witness, a camera lucida, with me in silhouette, like some silly Hand shadow twitching about upside down, is that right?, or am I getting confused?.
Results so far have been less than stellar, but I'll keep playing with it.

XXXI
Up from Earth's Centre through the Seventh Gate
rose, and on the Throne of Saturn sate;
And many a Knot unravel'd by the Road;
But not the Master-knot of Human Fate.

XXXII
There was the Door to which I found no Key;
There was the Veil through which I might not see:
Some little talk awhile of Me and Thee
There was--and then no more of Thee and Me.

XXXIV
Then of the Thee in Me works behind
The Veil, I lifted up my hands to find
A Lamp amid the Darkness; and I heard,
As from Without--"The Me Within Thee Blind!"

LXVIII
We are no other than a moving row
Of Magic Shadow-shapes that come and go
Round with the Sun-illumined Lantern held
In Midnight by the Master of the Show;

LXIX
But helpless Pieces of the Game He plays
Upon this Chequer-board of Nights and Days;
Hither and thither moves, and checks, and slays,
And one by one back in the Closet lays.

the only thing i couldn't really to do is make the background less gloomy - it always seems to want it on a dark forest floor rather than out in open sunlight.

i tried other colours as well, but they produced less good results (green just gives you leprechauns, blue gives you either avatar or world of warcraft night elves, grey gives you straight steampunk type stuff, and any other colour like yellow, red or purple just amounted to a colour filter over the same kind of stuff it generates for black or white)

I love both versions, and frankly I get a real Chimer/Dunmer vibe from them, that narratively, they are the same people on either side of some... event.

I've experimented with single colour themes too, and have definitely had plenty of results where the figures are a single uniform colour and thus look more like statues than living beings, but with enough tries I got some decent results:

It might be a paid option, idk. You can Continue from Clip, then when you get a bunch you like (and hopefully a clip that actually ends the song - sometimes it's stubborn) - Get Whole Song is under Continue from Clip in the context menu, and it will put together every clip you've used in that "thread." I did that with the 5+ min song in the post you quoted.
Ah yeah, I've used that function too. The biggest hurdle I've found is when the original clip cuts off partway through a word, it seems the "Continue from this clip" option gets totally confused by that and doesn't understand to complete the line of lyrics it was originally singing. I suppose if I just get it to generate enough clips I could edit them together in external software, but ideally future improvements to the Suno site will allow for more natural integration of clips like that, or make sure that the issue doesn't happen in the first place.

I still dabble with it. You can have it make up lyrics, just turn off "Custom Mode". And even with that on, there's a "Make Random Lyrics" button.

My biggest gripe is still that it never tailors the speed of the lyrics to fit the length of the song. It either rushes through them in the first half of the time and then either repeats them or just starts singing in gibberish, and worse than that when it drags out the pauses between lines so that half the chorus gets cut off.

I would happily pay the subscription fee if that meant that a song was guaranteed to be long enough to fit all generated lyrics in perfectly.
