For some reason today I'm feeling very excited about professional gamer and occasional pro wrestler Kenneth Omega. About a year ago I had a very similar feeling about the famously one legged wrestler CM Punk and nothing of interest happened so I was wondering if other people were feeling this way. If there are people reading this thread who feel the same way then perhaps we can use this space to relive our favourite Kenny matches/promos/interviews/etc. so we can have a fun day going over Kenny's highlights before turning in at an early hour because there's nothing decent on TV. Jump in a time machine way back to 2014, Kenny Omega's last year in DDT before making the leap to New Japan as a full-timer. Golden Lovers win a 3 way tag match in January to tag the KO-D Tag Team Titles from Yankee Two Kenju & over the next 9 months they defend the belt 6 times & head to Korakuen to defend against Happy Motel, a team made up of 2 men who debuted just 2 years before: Tetsuya Endo & Konosuke Takeshita. Endo is 23, Takeshita is 19, & here they are against the biggest team that DDT has ever had, Kota Ibushi & Kenny Omega. It's not the best Kenny match ever but it's a great one & it's from a period where DDT was a lot harder to watch, it features 3 wrestlers most AEW fans will be familiar with, & also it's fun seeing Golden Lovers working as the big veteran bullies. https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x7t1d57

Just so loving good at understanding when to do call backs and poo poo.

I got to Dynamite late so I knew Kenny was returning because I briefly saw Tranquilo Club's thumbnail on Youtube, but I still marked tf out anyway when it happened because I was just so goddamn happy to see him back. It just wasn't as fun without the ace.
