Just watched the game. What a stupid, stupid, stupid loss by the Jets. The roughing the passer call that negated the pick six was marginal at best, but the defense otherwise did what they needed to do to keep the Jets in the game. Apart from a few plays the offense stunk, and Wilson just destroyed any chances they had of getting back into it with those two boneheaded picks.

This reminds me of the 13-10 loss to the Pats a few years ago where the defense was finally containing Brady but the offense just stunk up the joint.

Classic Jets.

Another lovely loss to the Patriots. To be fair the Jets should have lost that game multiple times, Wilson had at least two interceptions dropped and otherwise stunk up the place. Couldn't get anything really going on the ground either with Breece out and Carter a little banged up.

Agreeing with other Jets posters here that Wilson is not the answer. Mac sucked but he looked more competent than Wilson. Another highly drafted QB goes by the wayside.

When was the last time the Jets had a functional offense? 2015 was ok, 2009/2010 it was average to bad iirc - maybe the Curtis Martin years?

On the plus side, the Jets defense looked great - apart from giving up that long 3rd down - in spite of the offense hanging them out to dry by forcing them back onto the field every four plays.

Streveler doesn't really look like he has an arm worth talking about, but he has good mobility and he can actually run the offense so I'm thinking just ride him until White is ready to come back

There's no question that an opponent with time to prepare will shut Streveler down pretty well, but it will at least extract some value from the last two games from a roster evaluation perspective

For one - one of Mike's best buddies is Dan Soder. They grew up together.

I'm a big fan of Soder's and he talks about McDaniel quite a bit, it's clear they're close. Although he laments that he can only really hang out with him in the offseason as Mike is unsurprisingly extremely slammed during the season

Actually I think the deal is a good one regardless, given that Hall isn't expected back until later in the season. Not sure how good a blocker Cook is, but if he's solid then that can only help our sloppy OL.
