Welcome to the 2022 start sit advice thread. To get the best suggestions please include your leagues scoring/settings and what opposing teams they face. Your thoughts on who you'd pick is also helpful.

Here's mine:

1 ppr, need a flex.
Chase Edmonds vs NE
Darnell Mooney vs NYG
Michael Thomas @ATL

Leaning edmonds for likely run volume, but the other two are facing terrible teams (I know they're on bad teams too) and could feast on targets.

If Thomas plays I think you have to start him over those two. Either he's still a stud and by far the best option or he's cooked and if that's the case why is he on your team?

Penny is a massive injury risk but probably still your best bet there.

I agree. Buffalo's secondary aint the best right now with White coming back from his torn ACL and McVay is still an offensive mastermind.

Not to mention that the Ravens could beat the tar out of the Jets and end up running a lot in the second half, and the Texans could easily sputter and have to play catch up, which is bad for Bateman and Pierce respectively. I like both of those players this year but not this week.

.5ppr, pick a TE

Ertz v.KC
Tonyan @MIN
Everett v.LV

I actually like Ertz this year at his price point, though he's injured and either won't play or may be on a snap count. Sucks because half the Cards WR corps is dead and that's a lot of vacated targets.

Tonyan is in a similar position, though his injury was last year and he's theoretically healthy. Lizard is out and there's only rookies and a stained glass window that resembles Sammy Watkins.

Everett? poo poo, I don't know. Who knows if he ever gets the ball but he's on a good offense and the time slot is such that if Ertz isn't ready to go I can snag him if need be.

Chris Godwin @ DAL (SNF)

Rashod Bateman @ NYJ
or
Chase Claypool @ CIN

Thanks!

Olave wince Aiyuk is in a hell storm and I honestly think Lance will be laser focused on Deebo.

Ugh, tough choice. Sanders for floor but Penny for cieling. Penny will have a higher score if he manages to ay the whole game.

I like Godwin but he's a risky play tonight. Bateman if you don't want the risk that TB will have him on a snap count.

PPR

Darrell Henderson v ATL
Cordarelle Patterson v LAR

Both of these guys seem to be on an upward trajectory, but I feel like one or the other could randomly crater at any time. Leaning Henderson because you want to start the starting RB in McVay's offense, but I worry it's too early to call him the starter.

Thats tough. I think if you feel confident in the rest of your lineup (and in thr Rams to have full control of the game and not let go) you go with Henderson for floor. On the other hand of the Rams are ahead and running the Falcons will probably be passing. I don't think that scenario removes Patterson from the game though. Probably him for cieling.

.5 PPR, Pick 1 to FLEX:

Jarvis Landry @ TB
Jamaal Williams v. Was
Jahan Dotson @ Det

I can see a case for any of these guys... No Kamara in NO suggests possible targets to Landry, Limited snaps for Swift suggests usage for Williams, and I just really like Jahan Dotson.

Rhamondre Stevenson vBAL
James Robinson @LAC

Don't think i can play Dobbins even if he's a full go. Leaning JRob and Hendo? Diontae over Hendo is my thinking too, it'll give me someone to root for tonight.

Hunt. I don't have a lot of faith in the Bears.

AJ Dillon @TB
DK Metcalf v.ATL
Tyler Lockett v.ATL

Part of me wants to bench Dillon because I'm starting Aaron Jones at RB and if the Pckers have a bad day that's giving me a double dose.

DK and Lockett have what should be a soft matchup but are on a shaky offense. Also, it sucks having to choose between the two because it feels like one or the other gets all the targets in a given week.
