Ohtani had another amazing year, Trout hit 40 dingers and the Angels finished third in the AL West.

The Mariners and Phillies both broke their playoff droughts, which means that the current longest playoff drought belongs to the Los Angeles Mike Trouts.

And yes, MLB has been hyping up the "AL home run record" for months now and Roger Maris Jr has been mouthing off about how Judge will be the "clean" HR king.

Are we sure he doesn't know when to shut up? I got the impression that he was intentionally not shutting up to pull the scrutiny off the other Astros.

wow I forgot he signed with LA after 2019.

Which means 2020 was his last full season, when he played 52 games, six fewer than 2021.

Only 28 shy, which is still very impressive.

I'm actually more surprised that he hit 117 career home runs.

Losing Swanson isn't nothing, but the Mariners need outfielders, so this trade makes sense.

Hopefully Teoscar continues to produce and they can lock him up for a bit.

Why would you assume it's for clubhouse reasons and not because neither of them has really produced? Kyle has barely played in the MLB since he won RotY in 2020 and Winker was so bad we replaced him with Jarred Kelenic for the last part of the season and the whole postseason.

I'm 99% sure Intruder meant "Mariners" instead of "Brewers". It is a good trade for the Mariners though they need one more top-of-the-line bat to make me feel really good about this offseason. I really love JP Crawford as a clubhouse guy but he isn't worth keeping as the starting shortstop versus one of the big free agent shortstops like Turner. What other great bats are out there? Correa is probably a non-starter for the fanbase but would be funny.

One corner outfield position is still open, unless we want to platoon Haggerty and Kelenic.
