Trading for Julio and getting rid of Brown should be the kind of moves that get a GM fired.

If you told me Tannehill on the Rams instead of Stafford would have won that SB I'd believe it.

Smarter than the guys that traded for Wentz or Wilson.

I don't know how desirable it'll be, considering it seems like this is Vrabel consolidating power, meaning you might just end up as a glorified cap guy. And even if you still have the same level of control Robinson had the owner seemingly has pretty high standards if she's firing a guy midseason when they're a year removed from being the 1 seed and currently on track to win the division.

Just because the team parted ways with the dude doesn't mean Vrabel is turning into Pol Pot.

Something or other is going on there that is weird, whatever it was. It's not like you need to get out in front of the potential GM market or they can do much damage after the trade deadline unless he was negotiating some super weird contracts in season.

e: Beaten by your edit, but yeah, I don't think it's just reporter speculation that there's odd things going on in some fashion.

I always thought it was strange that teams wait until the offseason to fire their GMs - right when a front office is going to be gearing up to go full steam. I forget what former GM said it, but basically this time of year is when there's almost nothing for a team's GM to do. The trade deadline is long gone, there's hardly any free agents or practice squad bodies left who are worth investigating. The roster is essentially set in stone. If anything firing in December makes more sense.

The Patriots offense is fundamentally broken and they have the hardest schedule. The Chargers keep injuring their key players by bringing them back too early and reinjuring them, also their coach is a dipshit. The Raiders defense is awful and their offense goes to sleep for half a game at a time.

So I still say it's the Jets' seed to lose.

What, you don't you remember Gronk specializing in nothing but five yard passes for a decade?

I think mcmagic might actually only remember what happened in the last game he just watched. That would explain a bunch.

In college he was more of a last option runner. The NFL is encouraging more tuck and run as a first option if teams are going to keep playing in these 2 high cover 4 shells. What's more likely?

Jaguars overtake the Titans for the division OR Lions make the Wild card?

Titans are 2 up, but Jags vs Titans in week 18, they both host the Cowboys, and play the Texans. Jaguars play @ Jets, Titans @ Chargers, and Jaguars win the tiebreaker if they win week 18.

Or

Lions are 6-7 but their remaining schedule:

@Jets
@Panthers
Bears
@Packers

They have tiebreakers over both the Giants and Football Team which kinda don't matter 'cuz of the tie.

Spots 6 & 7 in the NFC are:

7-5-1 Football Team : Giants, @49ers, Browns, Cowboys
7-5-1 Giants : @Football Team, @Vikings, Colts, @Eagles
7-6 Seahawks : 49ers, @Chiefs, Jets, Rams

Can the Lions overcome that deficit against 2 of these teams?

Neither will happen.
