When the light turns green, you go. When the light turns red, you stop. But what do you do when the light turns blue with orange and lavender spots?

Where are the models from? I have the Ankylo ones but haven't looked at the files in awhile if those are them.

I was googling up ToW release info today and so only realized this morning that a lot (all?) of the line will be resin. Ugh, uuuugh.

But if it creates new rules and any interest at all, I'll just make an army using Mantic plastic or something. I'm determined to get an army made and games played if there's any level of interest anywhere at all near me.

There are several ks/patreons/etc that have made near 1:1 3d files for old world warhammer. Or you can go the recaster route and get copies of the actual old world models.

There's a guy on Cults who's basically been doing exactly that, though mostly specialist games as opposed to WHFB. Though there are a bunch of Chaos Dwarf scans.

edit-- I didn't post the link: [redacted by Leperflesh :filez:]

A bit ballsy to be charging for scans of official miniatures. Those look great though.

I remember hearing, which could be total bs, that because of the rights TotalWarhammer had, GW couldn't release new old world models like the ones in the game until the last dlc is released. Maybe that's why the release has been so slow in coming. Or its bs.

Are there any ranges for 10mm orcs & goblins I should check out before getting the Wakes Emporium and Green Skin Miniatures ones? I wish Forest Dragon had one!

The start of a 10mm goblins army! I always thought the old goblin and orc lines were really cool as a kid and decided to finally enjoy some of my own. These are from Green Skin Miniatures, printed on Mars 3 Pro.

... how many 8mm guys and tanks can I print from a $30 bottle of resin?

A couple thousand and then some, no joke. Epic models are incredibly easy and low work to print/clean as well. Most don't even need supports so you just pop off, dunk in ipa a couple times, g2g.

the difference is cosmetic. LI is played at the same scale as the old GW epic games, as well as battletech, ogre, etc. and remains a smaller scale than dropzone commander.

The difference between any scales of models would be cosmetic. Obviously the stuff is not all exactly 6mm, but like the other poster I've never seen someone call epic 40k 5mm scale. Or any game 5mm scale.

Blackstone fortress has proven to be a massive hit with my board game group, we are now gonna actually go all the way and try to finish the campaign as a whole and not just do small single-shot sessions. I will probably also try to find the expansions without the models themselves because they're much cheaper that way and figure out proxies for the models.

If someone in your group has a fdm printer, could check out the Trihex Citadel from Dragons Rest. Its a proxy of the terrain for Blackstone.
