I don’t have a problem with drinking except feeling like poo poo for a day or two afterwards. I’m a happy drunk and don’t do dumb poo poo. It’s just in the days afterwards I just feel like garbage and i consistently feel heavy and sluggish if I’m also drinking consistently.

Sports might be a trigger for me because during the week if nothings going on I won’t drink or if I do it’s a single glass of wine. But when I’m watching sports I drink like a frat boy.

Yeah I found that as I get a little older that urge to chuck on the football or the cricket and have a dozen beers means even if I'm doing that on a saturday my mondays going to be a lot harder. Last year I went 6 months - non consecutive without drinking and the fitness gains were insane, just being able to get up and happily go for an easy walk on a sunday, make my work out monday morning and not having that "Yeah i have salad in the fridge but I can order wings" when I'm a 6 pack deep was pretty huge.

It's the post drinking anxiety for me I cant do anymore. Makes me want another beer and thats a bad road to go down. I'd rather just drink only on social occasions if I can. I find I go through a lot more sugar free soda though.

You cast Awkwafina in a movie because you want Awkwafina, there's a lot of actors like that, they do one thing and they do one thing well, they don't disappear into the role. It's like complaining about Arnold Schwarzenegger acting the same in every movie.

Yeah but who looks at a cast list and goes "you know what this movie needs, someone with no talent who's really loving annoying"

A few (?) years ago there was some crazy rear end cartel vs Mexican government warfare. Also related to arresting a son.

A bunch of the cartel dudes had GoPros so the higher ups could watch I guess? It was like a small army vs the police and government. Freaking real life twitch streams of CoD. And the weirdest part was that eventually there was a peace agreement reached or whatever by leadership, and all the cartel dudes and government dudes just immediately stopped and starting chatting with each. Like showing good sportsmanship after a match.

Same cartel and same son

Im kinda really, really, deeply unhappy in my soul with my work situation right now but all I can think is that a different job doing similar work wouldn't at all make me any happier. It would just be a different setting to suffer in.

Then I get annoyed at myself for being sad about work.

Im starting to wonder if I might be better off selling my house or renting it out and downsizing to something cheaper and finding something that doesn't pay as well but has more freedom and less stress?

I've tried getting back into writing to see if I can break this 9 to 5 grind and while I was given some good feedback from a friend of mine who works for a publisher for what I've done when I get home of a night I just don't have it in me to start work for another few hours on a project.

I dunno. I just find myself not enjoying the things I used to look forward to around work and feels like I'm either angry or sad all the time.
