Now that Bungie has updated the three Light Subclasses, maybe they can focus on improving the core playlists :smith:

It's hard for lightfall hype to match witch queen hype because the 5.9 month season directly before it was funneling the storyline right into Savathun, who is also a character we'd been aware of and connected to for years and years, and the concept of "go into the throne world to topple the hive God" is something cool and good. 1 down, 2 to go, let's knock this butterfly bitch down a peg and then move on to xivu arath!!

Compare that to "a city you've never heard of is harboring an artifact you've never heard of and needs to be rescued from the least popular enemy faction in the franchise"

Witch Queen also introduced Hive Guardians, which was a really interesting addition to an existing faction and lore in general.

The Tormentor seems like an interesting boss character for the “Witness” faction, but it’s being stapled to the Cabal

They briefly made an appearance in season of Plunder when the Lucent Hive got involved in getting Nezarak vessels, but yeah with the exception of Risen and the tail end of Plunder the Lucent Hive, and Hive Guardians, haven’t really been involved. Maybe they will be an upcoming season where they are the main enemy faction

I hope the new Lightfall Destiny means I don't get to use 1 loadout across 2 seasons to clear nearly every GM.

I....might?....miss your HoIL Arc Titan with Arbalest, a match game/champ weapon and a burn matching LFR or rocket.

Match Game is going away, and there’s going to be a lot more options for anti-champ with subclass ‘verbs’ being effective against champs, so there’s an effort to get away from a set loadout

Also I hope everyone picked up on the hint here

- Seasons leave players feeling like there's not enough left to do
- "One more Strike or Map won't solve this"
- Final Shape, the end of the saga, will focus on core rituals and pursuits

What, that Destiny 2 is “ending” after Final Shape?

It sounds like a side path for weapon crafting, instead of making guns from scratch you can take existing adept guns and give them enhanced perks

“This rebalancing of objectives and rewards is going to be a slow burn over the year of Lightfall, and we are going to take a more direct approach in our last Season of the year, dedicating a significant amount of development time toward a more core ritual-focused season. While this Season will have plenty of new activity and story content, we want to take this time right before The Final Shape to crisp up our core rituals and pursuits as we head into our final expansion of the Light and Darkness Saga. This last seasonal effort is just now getting underway, so expect more details as we get further into the year.”

Going to take the optimist stance and say that while nothing was said about Gambit now, there’s changes in the work that we won’t hear until much later in the Lightfall year

resilience has been borderline useless for the majority of destiny 2's lifetime (actually useless in most contexts) and cost as much as much more important stats (discipline and strength)

"the stat does something now" is not a reasonable justification for double-nerfing it by both reducing how powerful it is in addition to increasing its cost

It went from useless to one of the most important stats, if not the most important stat, especially when you stack it with things like Glaive Shields, Overshields, Restoration, and soon Woven Mail.

People complaining about the final mission like it asks you to do the entire Seraph Shield mission from start to finish again. It was a nice snapshot of it from a great backdrop of a space battle and, to my surprise and joy, one last appearance from the Seraph Big Boys from Season of the Worthy.

Final mission good

Yeah it's kinda weird to think about who the Campaign Boss and who the Raid Boss will be for Final Shape. Typically the Raid takes place after the campaign, so the TFS Raid is going to be the final big boss kill of the light & darkness saga.

Everybody plays the Campaign so they have to make the final big boss of the Campaign somebody relevant, like witness, calus, Nezarec etc. It's gotta 'matter'

They typically make the raid boss a no-name mook so that casuals won't be upset by the hanging storylines if they never raid. But if the raid is the final big fight of this SKU, it has to be something that matters as well

They've got their work cut out for 'em! Fans will screech bloody murder if they have to r-r-r-RAID :qq: to finally kill the Witness but it'll be equally stupid if the final raid boss of this game is Random Dude #69 that we only learn about post-mortem when we read the raid gear lore tabs

You go the Taken King route where you kill the Witness in the campaign, then super kill him for real harder in the Raid

Of the Seraph Guns, Disparity the high impact stasis pulse is my go-to, especially if you want to run a stasis build since it can have headstone and it has the Hakke foundry perk to shatter stasis crystals fast

I’d assume that there other Cloudstriders out there and but our contacts are Rohan and Nimbus

The only thing that dragged with Exodus crash were the Sparrow sections, imo

But new Lake of Shadows is fine, the escort sections are like one/two minutes long after clearing the adds, you can shoot down the Thresher rockets and totally neuter them, and the Tormentor boss room is great. Put more Tormentors and Hive Guardian mini bosses in strikes, Bungie

Like I said, you can shoot down the slow moving rockets they fire and hit them with a vorpal weapon gun, since they count as vehicles

They don't want you to hoard it, in between GM runs if you haven't gotten your God Roll yet for the gun of the week you can spend them on the focus. By the time you get 10 Ciphers you'll already have the Vanguard Engram, Legendary Shards, and Glimmer as well

Yeah, I'd eat my hat if I had one in regard to Strand Titan, I thought it'd be just 'Green Fist of Havoc' but things like Woven Mail and suspend, especially with the exotic legs, makes it really viable for Endgame content like GMs

Stasis Titan has been fun too with the Cadmus Ridge Lancecap and the new bow, but i've yet to take it into a GM. I think with the primary buff next week it'll be good.
