The most complicated way to play fake football.

Let me know if anyone has any questions or would like to join, rules are on the first post and we've been running for over 10 years now.

Sent you a PM but then realized I never notice when I get PMs so I shouldn’t expect others to either.

Anyway I’m interested if one of those slots is still open!

Maybe they meant to draft DJ Moore and got confused? That would still be early but a bit more defensible.

Yeah that last bench spot should be a young WR/RB who might wind up going off instead of a QB who should only get one start on your team at most. Like, unless you draft 2 QBs back-to-back, you’re winding up with someone like Goff, Geno, or Rodgers as your QB2. Looking at my 12 team league, FAs available right now are guys like Stafford, Carr, and Howell. If you lost a Mahomes or Hurts, are you really any less hosed having someone from the former list over the latter?

Also if you’re doing the waiver wire right you’re going to need some chaff to make room on your bench. Whoever you drafted in the 15th is an easy cut for the hot hand.

Trade assessment, .5 PPR, 12 team league

I give:
MANDREWS
Skyy Moore
DJ Moore

I get:
Justin Herbert
Jamaal Williams
Pat Friermuth

Why I want to do it:

  • I'm a Friermuth truther
  • I'm a DJ Moore doubter
  • I want Herbie badly (current QBs are Tua and Pickett)
  • I have no RB depth beyond people who are only good as insurance policies.
  • I can use the slot from the QB I drop to pick up an interesting prospect.

Why I Don't Want to Do It

  • It's Mark Andrews.
  • Is Jamaal useful after week 4?
  • It's Mark Andrews.

Thoughts? And if I take it, which QB do I drop?

You’re basically banking on Williams repeating what he did in DET last year or Kamara falling off of a cliff and still the value is very much skewed towards the other guy

Feels like yes but all the ROS rankings tell me I'm wrong. I assume they haven't corrected for Jeudy actually being healthy now though.

I think if I had the opportunity to trade for a bright spot in a Payton offense in exchange for a mediocre-to-bad RB in what looks like a pass-heavy offense I’d do it in a heartbeat

Yeah I’m holding him. The schedule for when he would be eligible to come back is really soft and as long as they don’t trip on their own feet* after this Niners game they’ll have a decent shot at a run for a wildcard spot. I think the fears of him being shutdown are overblown.
