drat, burning shores certainly ends the horizon series on a lovely note Iiterally everything is a bad retread. the quen show up again except they lay on the sinophobia extra thick this time, the new companion is so similar to aloy I forgot who was speaking most of the time, and the bad guy is a loving lame walt disney pastiche because the studio probably got too much heat about who the rest of zeniths were based off of. oh since lance reddick is dead and the game didn't sell a billion copies on PS5 there won't be any more lol

also starfield literally does not have any unique weapons. ive played through several faction questlines and the closest thing to a unique was a recolored laser pistol that was immediately outclassed by half the poo poo I picked up at the next bandit camp

Al! posted:yeah same, it's so good. people always described the other armored core games as being very fiddly mech optimizing games, but it seems like you just have to be good at virtual on as someone who grew up playing them yeah, pretty much every mission required an almost perfect design or you would run out of ammo/die and have to start all over this game is way less spammy on the trash mobs and plays much smoother (armored core games had tank controls until like 2011) so this is the perfect point to step in

also the deepest, darkest secret of ac6 is its a sequel to 4/4A, 5, and verdict day. the closed plan in 4A worked and following the events of verdict day, humanity went interstellar. but since this is armored core the corps immediately seized a great deal of control on the colonization efforts until rubicon was discovered and everything stopped for the new gold rush

Beat Starfield, The Hunter is probably the best Bethesda villain since Dagoth Ur (not a high bar) I love how his whole deal is he's a Bethesda RPG PC who's just out here speedrunning universes and he killed all your friends because he's sick of doing the same speech checks Fun times, my major criticism is that there are lots of great characters in this game, is just that none of them are your companions
