Likewise as an American I love the foreign poli-cartoon strips and I just see the recurring characters as wacky imps instead of the potential life-wrecking morons they really could be to people with context. Cartoon Rishi Sunak and his friends are such gremlins.

What does Rall think will happen if it's ruled that Trump can't run for president on account of all the treason? Biden will just run unopposed? Does he really think that there's nobody the Republicans can grab to throw up on stage?

To Rall and Trump supporters the others are such wimps they will lose by default to incumbent advantage so consequences are unfair. It shows that they don't think it out any further than that since there would also be a huge swell of anger that'd go to whoever the GOP put up as Trump's replacement if he actually got booted from the general election.

Ramirez proving a broken clock is right twice a day. Feels a bit gross. On the other hand I am waiting with bated breath for when Trump is the nominee and if he'll fall in line. Also wondering when and why Ramirez, an enormous shithead, took issue with his own kind. Did it happen between 2016-2020 or during the Biden years?

I'm going to take this opportunity to append this hateful doodle with a related fun fact. The creator of the Love Is... cartoons, Kim Casali, was the focus of some controversy in the late 1970s. In 1975 her husband Roberto was diagnosed with testicular cancer. They decided to have some of his sperm frozen, and after her husband passed away in 1976, she decided to use the frozen sperm to have another baby. Given the popularity of the cartoons at the time, the birth of her son Milo from IVF was worldwide news, although she was condemned too, mainly by Catholics, including Vatican newspapers who condemned her for going "against evangelical morality".

Her youngest son, Milo Casali, was born in 1977. He and his older brother Dario were a big part of the early Doom mapmaking community. They eventually caught the eye of John Romero, and were brought in to develop the mapset The Plutonia Experiment, which was one half of The Final Doom. From there they moved on to making maps for Quake, and eventually careers at Valve, including working on Half Life and Half Life 2.

Woah! That's cool. :allears:

As we all know the existence of popular entertainers ceased with the death of Michael Jackson, or whatever other arbitrary point is considered classic, honorable, timeless and before that nobody Swift achieved no fame of any note. Kids these days.

If it was AI generated he'd feed it his entire strip library to teach it the style, as I roughly understand things. I don't think it is though. Some people hit that stride where they can art in their style at high speed, especially if it's part of their day to day income. Sinfest is 23 years old, he's likely got a robotic process about it and likely a sizeable backlog of strips.

Oh yes, that's right. This is racism and pop culture mindrot so deeply entrenched that it has brewed for months at a time! Then again Sinfest has such a lovely, spotty narrative that he can freely insert dank memes and headlines as they happen with a fresh drawn bit of trash.

I'd nominate Ramirez and Horsey.

Ramirez doesn't take things like human anatomy seriously but it's clear his style lends itself to architecture, vehicles, goofy animal people. He dishonors himself by being able to draw like he does and have to resort to slapping DEBT on it. Most political cartoonists do but he's shamelessly and famously the king of the label and giving up on clear visual metaphor.

Horsey's art is fantastic and he's pigeonholed it into one of the most pathetic fields, his politics being give or take and often focused on goofy local grudges. Imagine if dude teamed up with any decent writer and put out an adventure or comedy story. Hell, he'd probably make a lot more money doing porn.

I will also never get tired of the counter points to nuclear power being:

1) Why would I solve a problem if I won't profit? Often not even me, just hypothetical governments and rich people. Also they'll profit but...

2) Why would I solve a problem if I can't solve it immediately? We could have everything running by 2050? Great! The loving quote about a generation planting trees they won't live to enjoy the shade of, you vile clown.

3) Why would I solve a problem if I'm irrationally scared of the solution? The word nuclear is scary. That's it.
