Although piracy cases remain rare, the crime and charges relating to it are very serious. Contact a criminal defense attorney to learn more about piracy laws. If you're facing a piracy charge, it's important to seek the assistance of criminal defense lawyers experienced with this aspect of criminal law.

Criminal procedure can be hard to navigate when it comes to this offense. And federal criminal charges related to piracy can be very severe. Such criminal charges take the shape of felonies that can tarnish a criminal record in debilitating ways. Piracy charges can also lead to life in prison.

Attorneys can help with your defense strategy. They can help you get the best possible outcome for the charges you may be facing. Their legal representation could prevent the most severe of consequences for piracy.

It is always ethical and morally correct to pirate video games and other media.

The drm is locking steam deck users out of the game permanently in some cases because it's detecting different Linux versions as completely different devices and thinks you're distributing the game to people who haven't bought it.

But it's not playable on Steam Deck anyway, so why bother putting it on there

Anything is playable on steam deck if you try hard enough

A few years being put in maintenance mode for "Overwatch 2" and a non-existent PvE mode will do that

This certainly didn't help but the playerbase fell off a cliff even before ow2 was announced because of really terrible mismanagement of game balance and the competitive scene too.

Just completely hosed around in all respects, despite being one of the biggest games ever made for a while when it launched.

Because we play good games like helldivers 2 instead of mediocre ports of mediocre ps4 games?

It's very funny to me that the FFXIV guy delayed the expansion release for a week so that he could play Elden Ring DLC on launch

I think that's a great point. If a new game came out with the story of Diablo today, even if I never knew Diablo, it would be considered barebones, an arcade story.

This is partially true but I don't think it can be understated just how huge the game manual was for enriching and enhancing the story, setting, etc. That kind of thing doesn't really exist anymore but a lot of older games that had kinda barebones writing were actually super fleshed out in the game manuals.
