The plot kind of deteriorates and rushes towards the climax too quickly after the virtual reality arc, but Air Gear is a unique ride that I definitely appreciate having read, even if I wish the last third was handled much in a much more satisfactory manner. I'm up to my favorite 'early' moment, the Aeon Road guy. When hero boy starts to emulate the move the Aeon guy is trying to trick him into thinking he's doing is so great.

I got to the sex rave night club rival battle in Air Gear. I forgot how dumb and genuinely well done this fight was. Two bros testing each other out as a sea of people loving scream in terror. I can't tell if how openly horny this manga is helps or hurts it but it's filled with some genuinely unique and interesting characters and fights. What I'm getting to is whens the Air Gear vs Hunter X Hunter fighting game.

I'm trying to watch YGo Vrains and I gotta say it was a bold move by the franchise that sold itself by being hyper serious and 100% earnest with how important every card game was and how INTENSE every plot point was to have a protagonist that is as bored being in this show as I am watching it.

S2 is a little disappointing cause it's a lot more episodic without a season long plot/arc for Leo like season 1 has and that kind of cuts down on the character stuff I loved so much with him in season 1. S2 Leo feels a lot duller and less interesting in comparison especially with his good the ending for season 1 is for his character. He fit in better with the goofier cast in season 2 but it all feels a little more hollow.

See like I said I feel the complete opposite. They're kind of the only thing outside of the burger ep that gave Leo any real character besides "My little sister....." and since leo is very much the thing holding s1 together it made the whole thing way stronger.
