So, the Razr HD shuffled through the FCC the other day so we got some more specs on it. Unfortunately, they aren't putting the 3300mAh battery in it that the MAXX has. However, the battery is still going to be 2530mAh which puts it well into "extended battery" levels compared to other phones. With the more power efficient SoC LTE that the S4 provides, it may actually last just as long (or longer) than the MAXX anyways.

Eh, I would still wait for it to come out and see what's up with it. The current moto UI is MUCH less offensive than touchwiz and it's still going to have a big honking battery.

Yeah, you're right. Plus the GS3 only has a 2100mAH battery, I thought it was in the 2500s like the Razr HD. I'll wait and see, I'm just sick to death of my original Sprint Evo and Sprint in general and I've been out of contract for months so I feel like I have money burning a hole in my pocket.

I am on a plan with a bunch of other people and I recently got a two year contract iPhone 4s. My question is, if I want to start my own plan due to work paying my bill and wanting to be on a contract with someone else, is there a way to give my iPhone to someone else on the existing plan and have them complete the contract with it on another line? If not, no big deal I guess, it would just be ideal to leave this plan in a couple of months instead of a couple of years.

You can technically give the iPhone to whoever you want and put a 1998 nokia on but you still need to pay the line fees until the contract ends unless you wanna pay an ETF.

My SGS III just broke in my pocket somehow. It won't even power on past the splash screen if I can get it that far. I went to the Verizon wireless website thinking I could live chat to a rep. No dice as they don't have a live chat feature for some reason. So then I go to email them and after selecting I'm having a phone problem I get this message:  Thank you for being so loving helpful Verizon.

Yeah, he mentioned finding another phone. This isn't like "keyboard error, press any key to continue." You can use a phone at work (it's toll free) or a friend's phone, or a pay phone. I guarantee that your cell phone isn't the only phone you ever have contact with in your life.

When I've had problems with Verizon, I usually just notch about them on twitter and they will jump on the situation right away. If you explain the issue, they will almost surely figure out a way to work with you in a matter of minutes.

Hated my OG Droid, They gave me an upgrade. Had issues with my nexus, They swapped it out anytime it had issues. They've replaced my maxx already once with no hassle. Its been great to be honest.

Currently I'm on an old-style Family Share Plan with some members of my immediate family, and I've been the only smartphone for a while. I'm sharing minutes with the family, and paying $30 for the smartphone data. My brother recently upgraded to a smartphone, so now he's doing the same. My sister and her husband are on a separate plan, with them sharing minutes and each having a $30 smartphone plan. It sounds like the Share Everything plan, for all of its faults, may be an attractive option if we spin off the smartphone users (me, brother, sister, her husband) and leave the rest of the family separate on their current Family Share Plan. How much hassle is it to juggle who is on what contract? We're at various points in our contract/upgrade cycles, and we'd like to keep the same numbers and upgrade clocks as we currently have, but just combine the smartphones together on the Share Everything Plan. Is it possible without having all of us go to a Verizon store at the same time?

My sister wants an iPhone. She currently has a piece of poo poo Palm Pixi because she broke her android phone like 5 times and they stopped replacing it. She also has unlimited data, which is useless on a Pixi but will be useful on the iPhone as she watches billions of youtube videos. She used up 6GB/mo on a loving Droid Pro, to put things in perspective. We're on a family plan with 4 smartphones in total, all of them with unlimited data. Our only options to get her an iPhone are: 1)Use an upgrade, stick her on an individual capped plan 2)Use an upgrade, move us all to the share everything plan 3)Buy the phone at full price Is that correct?

One thing to note: as long as you are smart on buying, buying used it usually pretty cheap. Cheaper thn you think. Beyond that, it usually can turn into a one time investment. Buy XX used phone for $300, and then in 6-12 months when you next want XXX new phone, sell the old one for $250, buy new one (used) for $300-350. A lot of times I have broken even already. The only thing that could happen is you buy a phone the doesn't hold value well (like a droid pro or something). Be smart and overall wait 2 months after any release to buy.

People come to me, I run a store selling all kinds of poo poo. Phones are just a side venture that im good at. Other stores pay way way to much, yet people bring em to me. People figure, "I paid 199" or whatever for it on contract, They got bored or got something else so gently caress it, any money is money. And honestly, Most people have no idea what poo poo costs. Plus I have to make a profit, So since im not selling them for 400 (under 300 most the time), Ill let ones walk that think im going to pay 300 bucks for it. I'd say your experience is a little bit different than most people. While shopping for a used 4S here, I found a used iPhone 4 will be about $250-$350 depending on size/condition and a iPhone 4S will be about $350-$450. I paid $400 shipped on a mint 4S on eBay. Cowboom, Amazon marketplace, and eBay seem to follow the above prices. Edit: Here it seems like all the iPhones on Craigslist are either way overpriced, stolen, or both.
