The Community Bounty Hunter guy posted a new fast time: Day 7 Final Lap Time 1:20.259 He also extended the deadline to Friday Aug. 17th at 8am Pacific. Some of you've got some catching up to do. Also, looks like the unicorn prize for this one is going to be the Nissan R34.

Strenots posted:Yeah, there's competition in AUGR, but mostly we're just race bros who laugh when someone smashes their poo poo into a wall. This applies to everybody, of course. I haven't raced with you guys much in the last few weeks, but every time there's some stupid drama over something that happened a half dozen races ago. Everyone can save and upload replays, if you feel like you've been hosed you have the ability to prove it to the world. Do that, then shut up about it and let the rest of us enjoy driving stupid cars with like-minded people.

Strenots posted:A lot of the others have apparently been around you longer than I have, but from what I've seen it's not an issue of racing cleanly but one of attitude. Few weeks back we waited a "few minutes" for you to grab a tune off the storefront for a spec and you finally made it back in 15-20 minutes later after we got sick of waiting. And then you get butthurt and ragequit after being bumped in turn 1 and getting aero damage after we spent that time waiting for you. And then we have last night. You seem to want to be involved, have some good spec ideas, etc., but then just decide you don't want to race because you're not turning in the fastest times and the track isn't your ideal choice. Yeah, there's competition in AUGR, but mostly we're just race bros who laugh when someone smashes their poo poo into a wall. Chill out and take poo poo less seriously and I have no problem with you hanging around, but the current attitude is annoying as hell. Point well taken, though harsh, I appreciate you taking the time to explain what it is that I do that offends people. I think you guys are pretty cool for the most part, so I'll do my best to address those issues. Edit: also, that bounty time is stupid fast. Dr. Faustus posted:Is your GT Captain Howdy 0? I am Sparkitus. Well seems I stop racing for a week and poo poo goes down. Almost finished prep-work on that steering-pad thing I'm working on. After spending a few days thinking it would be near impossible, some kind bloke cleared everything up for me. Just got to wait for stuff to arrive now. Including another toggle switch, I accidently lost the spring out of mine It most likely just fell on the floor, but its about 1mm wide and 4mm tall... won't be seeing that spring again. Also, need a paint scheme for it. I'm thinking of spraying the black part British Racing Green with white buttons and such to emulate the old racing Mini Coopers I'm also hoping this week I'll get around to grabbing pics of the last F-class additions to my garage, plus my E-class garage.

Just did 40 laps on that with Japandru as the ghost. I can't best 1:21.263. He's absolutely perfect the entire time. His only weakness that I can see is that he brakes conservatively on the 3 corners that go through the village. He dusts me all the way up until there, I'll reel him in then gently caress it up thereafter. drat.

Sad to see my Impreza brothers at the back of the pack though.

If you see me on IRC sometime (out of town this weekend unfortunately) hit me up if you have questions about the game. Oh no, this is my second playthrough. I got the true ending my first and this time I'm going for max social links and filling out the compendium. Also it's nice being able to facefuck the King in Yukiko's castle with no effort, given what happened in my first game the first time I tried to fight him But yeah, the game loving owns. I am still not sure how they made a game with so many things I usually hate but managed to make me love.

(One of many sources) quote:The GT Cockpit 458 doesn’t offer true force-feedback, but it does introduce a “global vibration system” which allows vibrations to be felt in the steering column, wheel, and pedals. Authentic force-feedback would have been the proverbial cherry on top, but my guess is that would have increased the price well north of its $299 MSRP. The pedal are not adjustable. There's no clutch. I think the price is rather laughable considering you can get true FF and proper pedals with clutch from Fanatec for $250, even taking into account Fanatec's "support" situation. For those who care the new bounty hunter is on Revenge of the Giants. This is the SUV traffic challenge which was added to the list a bit later than the rest. The guy's only set a preliminary time at the moment, 1:16.097 in a stock Hummer, but it's a clean lap so there's currently not many in AUGR who qualify. Looks like there's no clear "better" car on the leaderboards, the Transit and Raptor are both close in the top 10 with the Range Rover and Grand Cherokee both able to lay down very competitive laps.

Yeah gently caress that guy. I beat his time last week and felt good cause I never win anything in this dumb game, checked back for a couple days making sure he hadn't updated it, went out of town and he puts up another time at the last second. I'm not doing any more of that bounty crap unless they change the rules so this bs doesn't happen.

I'm loving the 3700+ pounds pre-1971 drift event. Hachi Roku Kaido was fun, but throwing a '64 Impala into corners sideways is one of the best things I have done in Forza.

Yeah, this is one of the best drift events yet. I keep meaning to build a drift Continental, but my old retard-spec (full power, stock sloppy suspension) Cadillac is not only fun to drift but obviously gets the job done.
