I talked to the owner, she just got it a few months ago, 80K original miles, all original unrestored. She paid $2000 for it and I loving hate her for that.

A cell phone photo Corvette dump you say? Don't mind if I do! Outside Tony's Corvette Shop, the color on that stripe is actually a dark green which I really liked. Just today, in awful traffic with a cop right behind him. 638hp going to waste. And this was at the Rockville metro stop a few weeks ago.

The SM is bonkers, it's mid-front, see the PTO shaft driving the accessories crossing over the steering rack, which itself it above the trans axle. At least the oil filter is accessible.

At the soundset 2013 car show. Only thing really worth shooting. Not shown, the horrible abortion that was a F50 replica. While laughing at the car with friends the owner got all huffy and tried to explain about all the work he had done. I asked what he was going to do to the motor. "Nothing".

Jeeps don't get to hang out much in this thread but I thought this might count. An F-5 tornado didn't manage to destroy this jeep so the owner put it to work in the best way:quote:Want to share a quick story about a guy I met who was in town to visit his folks. His Jeep Wrangler (pictured here) was buried in his parents garage, he somehow climbed in, and winched/drove himself out. Then he proceeded throughout the neighborhood to pull debris out and off of people. One family, huddled in the bathroom, the father bracing a wall with his back to protect his family. Here comes the Jeep, winched, pulled, successfully pulled out all 4 of the family. Stories like this I keep hearing. Every house/road we travel. We are all good people, strong, resilient and compassionate. I love y'all. Hugs are coming when I get back. Soppy but

You know those huge 8x8 massively articulated Tatra etc. trucks we all love to make smilies at? Now you can drive one in a completely badass vidja game! (provided its Kickstarter campaign is successful) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTPWFPFNY8Q There's a tech demo out where you can drive a small 4x4 and and a completely badass 8x8 through various terrain, ford rivers and crush puny trees beneath your mighty tires. It really feels like they've got the physics of the whole thing down, and with a bit of polish and some missions etc., I think it could be a fun little simulator-style game for AI d00ds. You can get the tech demo here: http://www.oovee.co.uk/games/upcoming-games/spin-tires/ Kickstarter here: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/358753914/spintires-the-ultimate-off-road-challenge

There's some game called Rigs of Rods that I meant to try out that appears to be some guy writing a driving for the sake of driving simulator. The forums are full of people adding weird vehicles to it, like an '86 Chevy G20 van, VW T3 syncro van, Chevy LUVs, the Lunar Lander and Scania semi trucks. It seems like a fun way to kill a weekend if that Kickstarter doesn't go through - it's like the anti-racing racing game. Plus it looks like some cars can be crashed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aExxgpX38jw

The whole point of Rigs of Rods is the crashing. The team's working on a new game/engine, called BeamNG; my friend, who made the car in that Rigs of Rods video, is the lead vehicle guy for it. He designs and models all the cars/interiors himself (and is a drat good car designer if you ask me). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9JPDtDfxf6w https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBjnFzoUo9U https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3s7A6x58bY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQVy1ZYx5Ms https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARVeT0Wkzxg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_5Z5d7_4QUI
