This may be reaching but the later GI Joe comics (Devil's Due) stuff had a GI Joe marksman called Barrel Roll. This guy had a brother who defected to Cobra and became the sniper Blackout. I bring them up because of the high likelihood of Headshot's defection at some point and because it struck me that when Brock has his flashback to his original partner being shot by Mol..the guy looks a lot like Headshot.

Brock didn't kill the other boys. They both have 13 explained dual deaths in the show, Dean has a solo death in the montage and Hank has two. Honestly, Hank is probably just on a later clone or there's some unwritten time Dean died.

Jeffrey posted:There was the deformed Dean who lived in the attic. Also I think they said they had died 14 times in season 2. Did they die at all in season 3? He's not one of the main ones, though. That would put them at even number of clones expended, though, so they are both even. They're also on clone number 14. That matches the death count if you toss attic dean into the total count. There's 10 deaths of both Hank & Dean in the season 2 montage. Then there's 21 killing them at the end of season 1, Groovy and Sonny killing them in season 2, and the 7s being found in season 4. Hank has the only extra death because he dies twice solo in the montage.

I don't think they've died at all after the first season. But don't forget that poor boy who got disemboweled by gorillas and then cloned in a day! It's okay though, he was doing his parents a favor (he was gonna get the cansker). I was definitely jarred a bit by how, not two episodes later, the art assets for the kids in "The Buddy System" were being re-used for the flashback of M.U.T.H.E.R. going psycho on that orphanage field trip in "What Goes Down, Must Come Up".

I don't think it's meant to matter? They might have died a couple of times offscreen in the last few seasons. What matters is there are no more clone slugs, so they can't die now.

Ror posted:edit: oh wait, that was a flashback and the rest are just clones. It might be the same ones since the season two premiere. Seems like a good run. vvv yes. One thing about the string of Hank/Dean deaths that we've been shown, they mostly seem to all happen while they're close to their current ages, or at least still mid-teens. For all the talk of their constant deaths there didn't seem to be any pre-teen examples of their deaths. I'm trying to think of a way of putting this without making it sound like I'm over-thinking it, but the clone slugs seem to all be the same age as the activated clones and Imperfect Dean also seemed to age in time with Hank and Dean. We also see that creating a clone slug from 'infancy' isn't required, though, as Doc was able to nearly have a fully-formed replacement kid done in an afternoon. All this makes me sort of wonder: Have we ever really seen any concrete evidence that Hank and Dean actually had a childhood at all? Photos, memories, etc. Or could Doc have simply bypassed their childhoods and accelerated the development of the first activated clones to teenagers with fake memories from the learning beds?
