Hi ladythread, happy '14! It's a whole new yeeeeeeaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrr. I explored a nearby place I'd never been today by driving 20-odd km up a logging trail in my silly little car. It was cool and I'm gonna go back one very early morning and take sunrise pictures at goat lake. Didn't make any resolutions, but I guess it's not too late. Except for any involving junk food or alcohol because I just ate my annual mcdonalds and I'm drinking beer. Who made resolutions? And have you broken them yet? toe knee hand posted:i like some hops more than others

Sabel posted:Whatever you'd call Ayumi and Aika I guess more serious but still happy ending stuff with adults, at least that's what I got now that I read it. You could check out the rest of the collection (Mermaid Line) its in, for starters. Octave is pretty good, if much longer and more drama-focused. Other stuff I think is good are Conditions for Paradise, Collectors (incomplete), Sweet Guilty Love Bites, Instinct and a Chromosome, and Wife and Wife (not serious at all, but it's super cute). A good chunk of these are NSFW because of the inevitable sexual drama you get with these things.

We are trying amazon prime streaming video and it has like twenty million seasons of intervention. If only it had more seasons of hoarders.

Is Amazon Prime worth getting if you already have Netflix? I mean, I order stuff too, but I usually get free shipping anyway

Crow Jane posted:Is Amazon Prime worth getting if you already have Netflix? Eh, I almost never find anything I wanna watch on Amazon Prime. I have it for shipping but I wouldn't have signed up just for the video. Resolutions: Eat something green everyday (yes, brussels sprouts) Clean kitchen sink (not yet but there's still time) Stop drinking cider every night (starting tomorrow!) Stop wasting time on SA (eh...)

Crow Jane posted:Is Amazon Prime worth getting if you already have Netflix? Also you can watch Suits, and Justified, and a bunch of old British TV if that's your thing. The shipping is really addictive, too. I always did $25 for free shipping before, but free + super-fast shipping on any amount really changes the way you shop. That might be especially true in New York, where local prices are almost always higher and shipping is even crazy faster. e: you can share prime with different people/addresses. Old British TV absolutely is my thing, but I feel like I have loads of the stuff to go through on Netflix before I sign up for another service. I see Amazon has Animaniacs and No Reservations though, which is making me strongly consider it. Maybe after I pay a few bills I'll give it a shot

Pick posted:it sucks, and so does freakazoid, and pinky and the brain is pretty bad too So not true, but all those shows do get talked up way more than they deserve. You'd think that loving "finger Prince" gag was like them showing hardcore porn and getting away with it the way some people go on.

Hmm, probably best to just keep my good memories of the show. Amazon doesn't seem to offer any more trashy true crime shows than Netflix does, either.

Pete&Pete deserves a softer critical eye simply because it's so unlike almost anything else out there. It's so confident in its particular brand of weird, you just have to respect it.

Re-watch it. It holds up pretty well and you can actually recognize Iggy Pop and Steve Buscemi when they show up.

Resolution: eat at least one salad every day. Salad is defined as something with at least a handful of green, leafy vegetables. Smoothie with spinach? Counts. But only because I pack a lotttt of spinach in that motherfucker. Also probably try to go to sleep by midnight, although that will be tough. Sickness update: I drank a teapot full of peppermint chamomile tea and now I can't stop peeing.
