I'm not complaining, he was fantastic in a backup role for Eddie Lacy last season and you can't have too many good running backs. I really don't understand why we would bring Starks back unless we're doing so extremely cheap. Lacy's our clear #1 guy, Franklin's a fourth-round pick who showed flashes of being a dynamic change-of-pace back, Harris was going to be our starter last year if not for the preseason injury. Hell, we run Cobb out of the backfield a couple times a game, too. How much are we really going to run it? Frankly, we need a couple of big bodies on the line as depth and goal-line support. Couldn't agree more about getting Pickett or Jolly back.

Oh and even though Miami has a great returner in Marcus Thigpen (at least, he had some flashes) Hester is being linked to Miami. So Knowshon Moreno and Hester, eh? Maybe at competitive contracts. I'd take Moreno solely because he's a great blocking back and can get 2 yards when you need 2 yards

12 of the top 20 RBs by yards last year were on at least their 2nd contracts. It's a lot easier to find guys to produce later in the draft earlier in their careers than a lot of other positions, but I don't think it's as cut and dry as "don't re-sign RBs". Just... don't Hurney it.

Getting Starks on the cheap for two years is fine by me. He played really well last season and works very well as a complementary back. If Harris is healthy and okay and Franklin gets it together then we can prevent grinding Lacy to mulch in three seasons! I don't expect Pickett or Jolly to come back. I want to see Jolly back, but seeing as how Finley is probably done, my guess is the Packers don't want to be a team that has someone break their neck on the field. Flynn / Tolzien will probably be our backups, though. Wouldn't be surprised if we draft someone in the later rounds and Ted adopts the Ron Wolf approach.

Receivers are strangely scarce. When Percy Harvin gets hurt on the opening kickoff of week 1 the Seahawks are going to be rolling with 2 UDFAs and a CFL player. If the defenses hold up Seattle @ Carolina this year could be a 0-0 tie.

Green Bay has been neck deep in injuries for the past three seasons. While Lacy looked darn good, he will probably get injured at least briefly next season. DuJuan Harris kicked some rear end for us in 2012 but hes coming off an injury that cost him an entire season. Franklin to me looked pretty pedestrian in limited action before likewise succuming to a season ender. That is why Green Bay needed to sign Starks back. I pray he can stay healthy. He has always played well for us when he can stay out there on the field.

No one is going to give britt a long term deal because he's probably mentally unstable. The best place for him to go would be somewhere he can show he's not crazy anymore and put up decent numbers. That's not going to be in an offense that consists of 45 hand offs a game and a bunch of horseshit wounded ducks from Russell Wilson.

Cam Newton only had about 40 or 50 more completed passes than Wilson did last year, so making the argument that your offense is more productive in the passing game isn't really a great one. Britt better go to New England I guess. Also if we are going to play the dumb hypotheticals game, Britt would be better off on an offense where he isn't the sole contributing receiver who can just be double covered all game long.

I'm a little surprised by the Starks re-signing too, given the depth we have and Starks' injury history, although I love him when he's healthy.
