Germstore posted:The potato salad kickstarter is up to $40,000. This has gone past mildly amusing and straight into 'gently caress this stupid world' territory. There were at least two $10,000 donations, since I saw it jump from 10K to 20K, and then 20K to 30K. I'm betting both of those were with stolen credit cards.

Friend of a friend wants to get crowdfunding for his med school tuition. http://www.gofundme.com/b3zeg4 "I once had an illness and now I want to help poor kids or whatever. Please give me $300k thx." There are plenty of people who come from harder backgrounds who didn't do online panhandling for their tuition.

So can you add pledges after making a kickstarter? Potato salad guy now has to make 88 potato-salad books, 478 potato shirts, 247 potato hats and shitloads of other potato related things. That sounds expensive.

If he's got a compayne making t-shirts that's not so bad. I was more worried about making all the potato haikus and hundreds of other poo poo he has to send out. That's gonna take some time. At least he won't be hungry while working with it.

He limited the haiku option to 4 people so he might already have them all written on a Post-It note somewhere.

So the bullshit WifiEX project has been deleted from indiegogo, I'm actually kind of loving amazed they did anything. However, I don't think that it should be deleted like it never existed, it's basically evidence of attempted fraud. I think just all funding should be removed. It also removes all the comedy too here's the [url:http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/wifiex]google cache[/url]) while it lasts. posty has a new favorite as of 01:40 on Jul 10, 2014 |
