I haven't seen the original Death Race, but I saw the remake. Which somehow managed to be even mroe video-gamey than what I knew of the original movie's concept, by way of literally being Mariokart.

The new Death Race is also pretty awesome. But the original is better. It's like cross country Mario Kart.
