CommissarMega posted:But there are so many more Fed missions than Romulan ones Not that it's going to stop my plans to play a Rom this weekend, but it's still kind of disappointing. Romulans have plenty of episodes to do, you can easily hit 50 running them even without the xp bonus event. All the high level episodes are cross-faction as well. Also like 20 of those fed episodes are the Cardassian arc that everyone sane skips in order to remain sane.

That being said though: Conskill posted:Think of it less as "missing out on more missions" and more "skipping over a lot of crap filler." The time change is nice, but I imagine most people in this thread were just planning on starting the upgrades and going to bed, so it probably wont make a difference to the dil costs. They're just finding a solution to an artificial problem, though. They'd win more goodwill by dropping the dil price for starting the upgrade.

I actually kind of like the Dauntless' look. I'd want to see it in action first, but if the stats are good I might consider it for my T6 ship.

Given everything I've been seeing about Delta Rising, should I just save up my dil for whatever ships and equipment comes out then? I know my fed is upgrading his fleet Armitage to T5U, and my klanks have the Chel Grett, but my Rom is using a mirror dhelan and I was thinking about what to get for him.

All the above makes it all kinds of to me, and it'd be one hell of a feat if the Intel ships would be able to match that kind of versatility. Anyway, another dumb question: I heard you can only use a single omni-directional beam array per ship- is this true? Because I have a lot of cash to burn, and I'm thinking of plonking a shitload of the things on my next character.

Okay, I can see putting beam arrays on the aft section, since they can make broadsides hurt, but what purpose do aft torpedoes do? Cruisers and science vessels should always be trying to stay in the fight and maneuver for broadsides, right? And if your escort's aft is facing the enemy, then that's when you should boost speed and zoom off to prepare another head-on attack run. At most, use turrets- at least those'll be covered by any cannon skills.
