Mr Dog posted:wish ballmer had retired to pro wrestling or something instead He put hard times on Steve Ballmer and his family. You don’t know what hard times are, daddy. Hard times are when the IT consultants around this country are out of work, they got 4 or 5 kids and can’t pay their wages, can’t buy their food. Hard times are when the Microsoft store guys are out of work and they tell ‘em to go home. And hard times are when a man has worked at a job for thirty years, thirty years, and they give him a watch, kick him in the butt and say “hey an iPad took your place, daddy”, that’s hard times! That’s hard times!

Malcolm XML posted:the vast majority of msft's revenues come from this thats why i said the sooner they realize it the better instead they keep loving around as if they were a consumer or web company, spending giant piles of money on bing and xbone and surface and minecraft and nokia and aquantive and actively trying to ruin their enterprise jewels by forcing consumer-oriented garbage like metro onto it. msft was once a consumer company - people lined up around the block at midnight in 1995 to buy the new version of windows - but those days are long gone, and msft keeps setting money on fire in a hopeless effort to pretend they are still the central focus of the entire technology industry, like a middle aged dad spending down his 401k on a sports car and hair plugs and a facelift instead of just accepting that hes 42 years old and that his life is now what it is they do have some very good enterprise tools like azure, and if they focused on those they could make money forever, but instead they waste huge amounts of energy and resources across every sector of technology because they refuse to admit theyre no longer the industry-bestriding colossus they were back in bill gates salad days

# ? Sep 27, 2014 04:24 |

that was distributing frames but ones like maxwell render can have many computers working on the same frame (or still) with a different seed and then you can merge all the light calculations they did into one higher quality image you kind of have to if you don't like dots
