Oh poo poo, nice. That over/under 911 shot reminds me of a "before/after" weight loss ad.

For some reason I thought "Track One" was just you and your brother in a garage working on your own cars, or something. I didn't realize that it was a Real Deal, that's cool as hell.

Track One was originally all Mike. I just helped out - I did some part sales, some wrench work, helped build the first shop, move stuff, ect.

He had to close his doors last year, but ended up getting sucked back into the automotive world and went into business with a friend who was his business mentor towards the end of the original Track One when things got rough.

They just recently moved into a new two building complex and have had a ridiculous amount of business.

e: That e46 M3 is a SCCA car some customer recently purchased. It's easily the LOUDEST car that has been in the shop so far, including the 800hp Ford GT

Dude, why haven't you bought this yet? Or done the same thing?

PS: You can get the higher class F series with a Cummins if you so desire. For instance the one the new engine for my truck is likely coming from is a 12 valve 6BT5.9 Cummins powered 1999 (yeah, a 12 valve in 99) F700. It has an SAE #2 flywheel housing and an Eaton Fuller FS5205 tranny. IIRC you could get em with C series, L series (in F8000s anyways), DT466s, whatever the gently caress you wanted basically.

All C-Series cabovers have vanished off the face of the earth. Strange because I used to see tons of them (they were popular as Garbage trucks iirc when I was really young in the 90s).

ehhhhh, that axle looks like it's only good for about 2.5 tons truck capacity. Might be wrong though.

The 5 ton eaton/fuller and rockwell axles have axle tubes 6" square formed from 1/2" steel plate. They weigh... a lot. Not sure what the 2.5s are made from.

Try an RC nitro engine.

For what you have, maybe make a shift knob out of it? I have a 50cc scooter piston that'd be just the right size for that.

The headlights are from an escalade, and the caddilac emblems are oversized to make the car look normal, but it really is hilariously huge.

It better spool up when you blow into it, and make the BOV sound when you stop; I'd be really disappointed otherwise.

Can't speak for the BOV, but you can spool them up anywhere from 5k RPM up to about 50k depending on which one you get.

WUT.

Too bad about the Vortec. Decent motors, but so are the correct motors that should be in there. I'm all for a SBC swap into stuff, but it's so out of place in a clean resto like that, especially in a non-performance vehicle.

I've seen a big-F with a Detroit 8.2 4-stroke V8. Near as I can tell it's a scaled-up 6.2/6.5. So you could sort of get a chev pickup engine in one.
