What's the effective range on the Wii U game pad? I was hoping I'd be able to keep the console in my bedroom and be able to play on the game pad in the living room, but the connection seems to only go about 20-25 feet.

My favorite reason I owned a Saturn. I never played the sequel, I would still enjoy the opportunity to. And why are people having pissing contests over what old gen systems were the best? Clearly the 3DO is better than any of the previous and current consoles. Regarding the Wii U: I'm stoked for Kirby. I haven't played any of the stylus games, so this will be my first. It looks fun and the art direction is wonderful. I love claymation and Kirby looks like it was made with real clay. Between the Wii U and the PS4, 2015 is going to be a very expensive year.

I wish Hyrule Warriors got more than 15 FPS when in multiplayer because I've put in about 80 hours co-op with my friend and the pop-in and framerate hurts on occasion. We're almost done with the first adventure map, only two more to go! (until the next DLC)

We're recently been hooking up my old wii-motes to the wiiu but seem to be getting some weird random disconnects. We've not used the controllers for ages (the last time i played the wii was when xenoblade came out and that was with a pro controller), and we've got fully charged duracell regargables in there so i'm pretty sure power isn't the problem. Does anyone know what else it might be or other things i should try ruling out? We did have some 3rd party recharagable packs sitting in them while we weren't using them, could that have damaged them somehow?

Ok new to the Wii U (and never had a Wii): I just bought a Wii U, Super Mario 3d World, Smash, Kart, and Donkey Kong. Is Smash really the only game I can play with others using a GameCube controller? If so, what's my easiest solution to this, a regular Wiimote?

If you're worried about missing out on specific Amiibos, Nintendo have said that they'll probably release RFID cards of the ones that just don't sell well instead of another run of the actual figure versions. You'll still get all the in-game functionality, just no fancy statue.

Well, I bit the bullet and got my Wii U today. I bought the set from Target that includes Mario 3D World and Nintendo World. I also got Hyrule Warriors and Bayonetta 2. Mario 3D is ok. I played the first couple of stages. To me the best Mario games are the ones that have an element of exploration to them. Where you could find something in a level that leads to a whole slew of other places to go (Super Mario World, 64, Galaxy to an extent) I don't know how long I can stick with it if it's just Point A to point B. Hyrule Warriors was AMAZING! I can already tell you I am dumping hours into this. Are any of the other Dynasty Warrior games worth picking up? I haven't tried Bayonetta or Nintendo Land yet. I also got a Link figure. Kind of wish they picked a pose that didn't require that clear piece to be there to keep him up. Edit: Also, gently caress the dude at Target that sold it to me. He tried to tell me I needed to buy a Wii-mote for it because it doesn't come with one and the games are unplayable with the tablet. Mario 3D and Warriors worked just loving fine with the tablet.
