You're just drawing cards, relying on the luck of the draw for almost the entire game, which is how UNO works too. Yeah, this is kinda reversed in the goal, its like Russian Roulette UNO, but close enough. What strategy is there in UNO really? You play a card if you can, you play a skip/reverse/whatever if you feel like dicking over somebody to your left or right. This has the same stuff pretty much. I guess maybe there's a secret world of UNO strategy that I'm ignorant to, but there's not much to be had there. People come up with 'strategy' for Rock, Paper, Scissors tournaments. (At least that comes down to psychology, and you have more agency)

Card game looks like it could be fine mechanical, but the whole monkey cheese aesthetic is already tiresome from just watching the video. Also back my kickstarter to buy a printing press to specialize in printing all the card games getting kickstartered.

Zaphod42 posted:You're just drawing cards, relying on the luck of the draw for almost the entire game, which is how UNO works too. Yeah, this is kinda reversed in the goal, its like Russian Roulette UNO, but close enough. Sorry, but you obviously never played UNO competitively. Like in many other card games your primary mean to achieving your goal is to make assumptions based on what cards have previously played and by whom. You don't just throw any card, you want to play a card that your opponent more likely has no answer to and at the same time you want to set it up so you have an answer later. It's not, like, Magic: The Gathering level of deck and hand analysis, but it's still there. In this game, however, predictions seem to be meaningless, as your main goal is to skip as many turns as possible or have as many kitten-defusing cards as possible. It is Russian roulette with more busy work. Paladinus has a new favorite as of 02:08 on Jan 22, 2015 |

My favorite part of the KS is that they admit their initial game wasn't fun at all. But then they say that the slightly-different game is in fact super fun!

All this talk of UNO and Russian Roulette is just reminding me of UNO Extreme. Why can't there be a stupid meme game with some interesting gimmick like that? Wouldn't it be right at home with the WOW SO ZANY crowd? Okay, I guess it'd cost a lot more than printing some lovely card deck but the market for gimmick board/card games sure probably might exist still.

They made a game with random player elimination, advertised it as getting more fun the closer you are to the end, and then decided the first stretch goal should be making the game last longer. I'm actually starting to love these guys.

Not only would that be a totally superfluous option that is the complete opposite to the intended function of headphones it would also be incredibly obnoxious and would be guaranteed to enrage pretty much anyone else within earshot in any situation where you'd wear earphones. So to answer your question: yes, of course the ears turn into external speakers. quote:Can you turn on and off the cat ear speakers and LED lights?
