Does "in your loving face orange" really count as a colour scheme though?

Group C colour schemes are basically cheating though, there's no way to make a car from that era look bad. Holy poo poo, is anyone else's chrome session lagging like hell on this thread now?

Just a crummy old 3S-GTE, the tractor engine with a motorbike style head. They made so loving many of them and I feel vaguely blessed by the fact that I could own a car with fundamentally the same lump for not much money. The everyman's race replica.

Apparently I'm a redneck because I really like the citgo livery for some reason. Nostalgia, I guess. This is so gorgeous, though.

Bummer that regular people are so stupid we can't do that now a days. angryhampster posted:JPS livery is far and away my favorite. It just screams "excuse me gentlemen, give me all your ladies." I wouldn't say the Homologation ST205 is a built out rally car by any means (considering they did a bunch of changes to the suspension to get it to actual good prep). That's like saying you bought an STi or an EVO, or poo poo even an old Galant VR4 and it's a "race car" because those were also basically the same thing.

True, but it still had the antilag system installed on the car, even if it was disabled.

InitialDave posted:Homologation should never have gone away, especially with rallying. "If you don't sell it, you can't race it" is such a good rule. Absolutely agreed. I used to have a customer who had a Lancia 037, but he never brought it to show us at the shop. He did tell us about how utterly terrifying it was to drive though!
