The game was a blow out and for me, the best moment happened on the way to the game.

You've got Oleg's Snidely Whiplash costume, Martha is all chipper about being a spy, Elizabeth's trainee dropping off the news about murdering a student on her doorstep like a cat with a sparrow for its owner, and Elizabeth wanting to a have a chat with an old woman in the middle of an operation. I can deal with some impulsive behaviors from the characters, but why is everyone being ridiculous in the same episode?

The old women even mentioned Elizabeth's mother so that was clearly the connection, not to mention that Elizabeth's father also fought in WW2, IIRC. Oleg just wanted the chance to crack Stan's skull and Martha is buying a house in Denialville. Nothing ridiculous, just a bunch of people reaching their respective limits. Preemptive edit: I know Oleg wants more than that. He obviously also wants to drink beer with Stan as they go on a road trip.

I can deal with some impulsive behaviors from the characters, but why is everyone being ridiculous in the same episode? I dont thing it was that bad. Martha knows its Clark or bust and thinks love is more important than giving away a few things. Its not like she can get great intel from office gossip now. New report Agent Gaat is mad! It seems they thing Martha can re bug they place I guess when the heat dies down? Her character contiunes to breath despite the fact she should be dead. Hans is too good to be written out. I kinda thought Eliz was testing him though her later conversation doenst support it. Hi I trained you for the cause but becasue that 1 guy knows your face you cant do your job. So of course Hans would off em, you wouldnt make much of a spy without that kind of mentality. Eliz problably enjoyed getting stuffoff her chest to somoene who reminds her of her mother. Bad luck to work at night while spies are there and not in costume and you want to ideally kill the woman and make it look like a heart attack or suicide rather than a gun shoot to the face. Olegs costume was kinda hilrious though, he loves American culture and sure he loved dressing up and smacking Stan. Stan has form for crazy stuff he went to that secret radar place with a camera strapped to him for Nina. The most ridiculous thing seems to be bugging the robot, If it was a Roomba going everywhere that would be slightly a better idea.

When this show blows up years from now (probably after it gets put on Netflix) I'll be boasting that I liked it before it was cool . So are we supposed to assume that Phillip has been continuing his Kimmy mission off-screen, since he's supposed to be collecting the bug recordings every week? Dear god I don't think I'll mind if they just never reference that sub-plot again .

I think the Kimmy deal is just one of those bits where the show assumes you know that it's still going on even without showing it until the story becomes relevant again, like swedish suitcase lady's 3 episodes over 3 seasons plotline.

Liz had to make the old lady death seem like an accident/suicide. Strangling her or shooting her would've raised a whole shitload of red flags and started an investigation into her death.

So... what exactly is Martha telling herself, exactly? Phillip never explained anything to her. Is it just "Okay, he's a Russian spy, but I still love him"? I can't think of any other reason she could come up with to explain why he wants to bug the FBI office and lied to her about being with internal affairs.
