I have to assume Hillary has some kind of security escort for this cross-country drive, really more of a convoy than a road trip. Isn't there a real risk of someone taking a shot at her? Then again we've gone through two terms of Obama with no one getting close to killing him (the odd White House fence-jumper excepted), despite all the fears associated with America's first black President, so maybe the danger of assassination-by-random-yokel is lower than it looks.

It is a Secret Service agent driving her, which means there are probably another 2 in the vehicle and some additional ones in the vicinity.

NO? Then how can you support Hillary?" I work with two 18 year olds. Both have been told the 90s and Clinton being elected were the worst times to be alive. They have been parroting this with nothing to back it up except for what their parents told them. They also have tumblrs for anime porn and are obsessed with bitching about minorities. This is your brand new conservative voting bloc, approach accordingly.

The whole point of "lesser of two evils" is that one of the evils is going to occur anyway, it's not "lesser of two evils, or a really good alternative!" Absolutely not. Just because the states in the interior vote some bad candidates foward doesn't absolutely force me to accept the options. I rather sit it out or leave the country. In the end the people who willfully vote for a war hawk to blame.

Bill Clinton signed a law giving future presidents only 10 years of Secret Service protection, then Obama signed a repeal in 2013, restoring the life-long protection practice.

Chamale posted:They choose another of the 33 Democratic Candidates for President and throw them in the debate ring with Hillary. The debate between Hillary Clinton and President Emperor Caesar will be the Lincoln-Douglas of our times. Filing with the FEC doesn't mean that somebody's gonna be on primary ballots. It's a lot easier to file FEC paperwork than to get on the ballot in some states. site posted:Oh wow okay. Talk about zero coverage. Poor guys. I don't think they've formally announced yet, they've just made it very obvious that they intend to run. But yeah, the media determines who qualifies as a "serious candidate" somewhat arbitrarily. Some of it is based on fundraising or expected endorsements or whatever, but some of it is arbitrary.

I remember a few months back in the Obama SoTU 2015 speech thread, when Enigma89 brushed off Rand's stance on Civil Rights with "yeah I guess that's relevant when you're being blown to pieces" and then I said "yeah well he's fine with drone-striking domestic shoplifters" and he ignored that to respond to another poster pressing him on the CRA. I think this all you need to know about him, really.

The Insane Clown Pageant the Republicans are calling a Primary process will give the media plenty to write about. EDIT: Plus there will be about two dozen Hillary "scandals" over the next year for them to cover, most of which are dumb nothingburgers and none of which impact her chances.

In the end the people who willfully vote for a war hawk to blame. Not voting makes the worse option more likely to happen. Choosing not to do something is still a choice. You're still partially responsible for the outcome and partly to blame if the worse outcome happens. Your desire for moral superiority in the face of actual harm coming to people is extremely and pointlessly selfish. The strongest argument you have that you aren't responsible is that you're incompetent, which is fair, but that's also not a good excuse.
