Famitsu posted some info on the upcoming 3DS Monster Strike game - the characters/setting are tied into the upcoming anime, and it looks to have a full 3D world rather than the PADZ-style 2D thing. I wonder if Nintendo will try to bring this overseas like they did with PAD:  EDIT: while I'm here, Monhun X New XL!

Final Fantasy 3 and 4 both suck balls. Then again I played the Hard Type version of 4 so my opinion may be skewed on how enjoyable it was(it was not enjoyable) but 3 definitely sucks balls Buy Rocket Slime, Dragon Quest 4, Dragon Quest 5, Dragon Quest 6, Dragon Quest 9,, DragoN Quest Monsters Joker, and Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2 and pretend they're final fantasy.

Can anyone think of games in the 3DS era that are still using strong and unique controls via the touchpad, ala the pathfinding for the old DS Zelda titles, or would you say that most of the DS control has been sacrificed to make heavier use of the top screen for 3D display for actual gameplay? I guess what I'm asking is what games in the current generation are making good use of the touchpad?

A lotta people complain about the controls in Kid Icarus, but honestly I thought it was perfect and showed excellent use of the touch screen; switching from mouse style controls to the "globe" style spin and tap was a great way to differentiate the touch screen from a regular mouse or thumbstick. Other than that, uuuuuhhhhh

Just remember that those games actually support 3D, so they are heavily straining the 3DS GPU and still manage to look much better than this one. That's my point of comparison. I guess it doesn't look like pepper on wet paper, though.

Shenmue 3's campaign was not handled well but Red Ash is a whole other level of badness. Like, it's worse than Denis Dyack's not-Eternal Darkness campaign and one of his team members got arrested for child pornography mid-campaign.

Sony announcing the kickstarter at E3 set off a lot of alarm bells, the funding amount was $1 million I think but Suzuki started mentioning how the full game would really cost $10 million, stretch goals were stuff that people would expect to already be in a proper Shenmue sequel, stuff like that.

I had a run with bard and monk as two of my jobs, and the bard song after a little time caused the monk to do 9999 per every single punch...which is good since they can punch twice in one turn.
