I haven't watched it yet to confirm but apparently it's 1) Monologue at the beginning is longer 2) Deckard's first line to Hobbs is changed to make sense now 3) Graveyard chase is longer 4) Rousey fight is longer 5) Kurt Russell fight is longer

Unless it's doing it like Marvel is with the "phases" or whatever. Because then when 8 comes out you just have this dumb tire and the next movie in a normal rear end case.

Too bad there isn't a slot for Spectre.

I bought that thing without thinking, and am now smacking myself about it for just this reason. I still wish it had only come with the movies up till Casino Royale. Then I could have had classic Bond in a complete set, and neo-Bond on their own.

You'd probably be best merging Lazrnby with Connery, and maybe Dalton with Brosnan.

Well, you'd just put the disc in the tire and toss the case for 8 since there's more than enough room.

The MSJ posted:Lazenby gets the Ultra Limited Super Special GOTY bluray. Lazenby should get merged with Dalton since Licence is the thematic sequel to Lazenby's movie, as opposed to Diamonds, which doesn't even really address it at all outside of the opening. Licence to Kill is Bond getting revenge on the killer of his best friend's wife due to the memory of that happening to him, so it works well in that group. It also explains why he's so much more angry/rough in Living Daylights.

I love Dalton's Bond and On Her Majesty's Secret Service is a movie I've come to appriciate more over time.

On Her Majesty's is great if only for the ending. Blofeld gets beaten, and instead of just moving on to his next grand scheme he personally does a loving drive by on Bond and his wife. That is some straight up gangsta poo poo.

The frontrunners for directing F8 are: F. Gary Gray (The Italian Job remake, Straight Outta Compton, Be Cool, A Man Apart) Louis Letterier (Clash of The Titans remake, The Incredible Hulk, Now You See Me) Adam Wingard (The Guest, You're Next) Will Eubank (The Signal)

Wingard would be a good choice (though there's nothing to indicate how he'd do with a budget that big compared to his earlier works) I haven't seen The Signal and the other two choices hover between generic and bad.

Leterrier also did the first 2 Transporter movies, he wouldn't be a bad choice. e: looks likely to be F. Gary Gray: http://variety.com/2015/film/news/furious-8-f-gary-gray-directing-1201610978/ Wandle Cax fucked around with this message at 08:14 on Oct 6, 2015 |

Straight Outta Compton was dope so F Gary Gray might be a good choice. Although Adam Wingard? Man, that would be so weird and I really want to see what he could do with a Fast & Furious movie.

It's funny, on Birth Movies Death they mention that Gray and Diesel didn't get along way back when they did A MAN APART, which makes me wonder if Diesel has just clashed with everyone he's worked with.
