All I get from that is that Hillary is fine with people teetering in poverty but not ok with straight up lifting the conditions for everyone.

I guess I didn't get that at all from his phrasing. People who have money in their pockets do invigorate the economy, period. Same reason EBT is the best economic stimulator.

I guess my bigger issue is that when fighting for something people NEED phrasing it as if it's something they WANT doesn't help, you know? Like, there's already such a narrative that the people fighting for 15 an hour are just lazy bums who want to buy more poo poo they don't need because they're greedy. Turning the conversation away from 'no these dudes need this to not be on the street hungry' to 'yea they do want more toys gently caress you so what' isn't a great way to fight, even if it's totally true that they have the right to free time and buying stupid poo poo just like the rest of us.

it really surprises me to see all these AL AQSA and LF posters suddenly hating on Sanders (for whatever reason) and being on board for Hillary.

Isn't Sanders exactly the kind of candidate you guys would want to win? why are you supporting fake progressive and self-avowed "moderate" Hillary Clinton all of a sudden?

Clinton speaks about actionable proposals that would be able to pass through Congress.

no, it's just very unfortunate that poverty often involves a poor education which leads to exploitation of people's finances. doubling the minimum wage would be a very enticing way for even more casinos/gambling facilities to open up near poor neighborhoods and credit card companies to take advantage of a poor understanding of how credit cards work.

You know that's in nominal dollar terms about where the cheapest color sets or the watchable mono sets were 40 years ago, but in real terms that 1975 price is $1700 modern dollars.

Computers are cheap as hell, and they keep getting cheaper every year. Many poor families can even participate in programs that subsidize a computer and Internet access if their kid qualifies for reduced or free school lunch these days

You're very presumptuous. Just because someone is poor doesn't mean they're dumb and/or bad with money. Most poor people are poor because of our lovely economy designed to prevent them from rising in economic class.
