It really won't matter for the general though as there's going to be another 300+ mass shootings before then.

Here's an article about how to know Cruz is to loathe him

quote:

Anyone but Cruz: That’s the leitmotif of his life, stretching back to college at Princeton. His freshman roommate, Craig Mazin, told Patricia Murphy of The Daily Beast: “I would rather have anybody else be the president of the United States. Anyone. I would rather pick somebody from the phone book.”

Sheriff Joe has a plan.

quote:

Draw your weapons.

That's what Sheriff Joe Arpaio is urging nearly a quarter-million Arizona gun owners to do to fight terrorism and mass shooters.

On Tuesday, the so-called "Toughest Sheriff in America" said he cannot guarantee the public's safety and called on them to take matters into their own hands if necessary.

"I'm just talking about the areas where you have large crowds and someone pulls out the gun and starts shooting. Maybe somebody with a concealed weapon takes the guy down," Arpaio said.

Specifically, Arpaio was looking to the 250,000 Arizonans who carry concealed weapons permits to help keep the peace.

But there are some in law enforcement who are calling this a bad idea.

I'd like to add that there are also some not in law enforcement who are calling this a bad idea.

I don't know why the Republicans think that an America in which you have to go around armed in order to protect yourself from random violence is a society worth living in. If that's America, it's terrible.

It's because they're more interested in feeling safe and in control than pursuing a reality that is actually more safe for both sane and insane people. They're not prepared to compromise gut feelings in the face of logic or statistics.

I think so yeah; generally the statistics show that having a gun, generally, increases the risks of being shot in any altercation as it tends result in escalation.
