I think the difference might be that the PP shooter told police "no more baby parts" when he was arrested, but the story about his wife pledging loyalty to ISIS took two days to uncover.

It's still too soon to really say either way. We just don't have any solid clues yet." I'm refuting the assertion that this was an attack directed by ISIS quote:While the attack may have been inspired by Islamic State, there is no evidence that it was directed by the militant group, U.S. government sources said. Islamic State, which has taken control of large parts of Syria and Iraq, took claim for the Nov. 13 attacks in Paris in which gunmen and suicide bombers killed 130. There's no evidence ISIS had a direct role in this. The only evidence so far linking this guy to anything resembling ISIS is an official claiming that he made a pledge to ISIS on Facebook using a pseudonym. Also that this is one of the stupidest terrorist targets ever.

The right loves to point this out but rather than suggest restraint in all cases they do the exact same loving thing they're criticizing just the other way around. If you want to point out hypocrisy in others you have to not be guilty of the exact same thing yourself.

Don't forget that declaring allegiance to ISIS under an alternate facebook account and then deleting it makes killing coworkers terrorism. I'm not saying it for sure wasn't terrorism, I don't think there's enough info that has been released to come to that conclusion. If they had done anything else besides kill his coworkers I might be saying something different. But they didn't. We don't know if they had other plans to make this something other than a workplace shooting.

I'd definitely buy the theory that he was planning something big and snapped at the party so decided to go for it there instead. Shooting up a holiday Christmas party of your coworkers in one of the poorest and depressed counties of California makes no sense. Downtown LA is literally a 45 minute straight shot down the freeway. If you wanted to do some real terrorism you go shoot up LA Live or The Grove or any mall during Black Friday. There's even a major airport 20 minutes from where this took place. My opinion is that something was being planned but that this attack was not what they were planning for.

Something to inspire fear and tank consumer spending and hopefully the economy. A medical center in a business park and targeting exclusively people you know and your coworkers? Talk about loving up your terrorist messaging. Like seriously, I live in this area and you have Loma Linda Medical Center (a much more famous hospital), UC Riverside or San Manual Indian Casino all within a 5 minute drive that would make a much better "soft target" than this dump.
