Mr Hootington posted:Even if either dropped out and endorsed the other guy, it does not mean their support will follow. Yeah - some 20-30% of everyone else's support will migrate over to Trump. Look at the head-to-head polling - he's not always winning, but he's always competitive. Rubio or Cruz would need *all* the other candidate to drop out and then he'd have a shot at divvying things up with enough winner-take-all states that he could pull ahead, but nobody's dropping out until after Super Tuesday at the earliest - Kasich won't drop out until after OH, Cruz may stay in a long time if he wins TX, and Carson won't drop until his advisors have grifted as many millions as they can grab.

And he just advocated for a strong, politically active "Christian lobby" that fully erases any remaining separation between church and state. #Trumpdeathrally is going to be either very funny, or very terrifying.

And the botched war in the middle east did not in any way lead to the SYRIAN refugee crisis. In fact you can place more blame for that on Obama and his red-line nonsense and lack of willingness to smother this civil war in its crib.

The Bush comparison was imperfect as well though because I sincerely don't believe that a Trump Administration would have gone to war in Iraq. Almost everything he has said about foreign policy has essentially been neo-isolationist, which would be disastrous for it's own reasons but definitely not Bush-like.
