Tried Star Wars, didn't enjoy it. I started playing Battle Station Harbinger from the Humble Bundle. It's a pretty nice space game... You jump around like FTL, but there aren't a ton of things to do at each spot. The combat is pretty decent, though. I tend to get these bundles and then barely play any of them, but this one seems pretty good.

The pockettactics review of Planar Conquest for iOS is out already: http://www.pockettactics.com/reviews/review-planar-conquest/ . The basic takeaway is that it has all the basics of a detailed 4x game, but the UI and overall feel of the game on a tablet was offputting. My instinct is to wait for a sale.
